Which hotels in Dubia have you stayed in ?!!

COnsidering a stay in Duabi but need to know how fab it is to justify the cost!!!! Would love to hear from anyone who has been there.....the good, the bad and the ugly.............what time of year did you go, was it expensive once you were there?
Most importantly, which hotels have you guys all stayed at!?!!

Never been but would love to stay at the Burg Al Arab

My husband goes to Dubai on business. He has stayed at Jumeria Beach. They wouldn't allow him to stay in Burjh Al Araba (sp?). I think this is a £1,000 a night. It is very expensive and too hot between April and October. (It can reach 50 degrees celcius). Even the Arabs all leave during those times as it is so hot.

It is gorgeous but also very expensive (the gold is fantastic). Gold souks.
Husband bought me a 22ct. gold chain and I love it !!

ha! ha! Yes, I did mean Dubai! Typing dyslexia!!! What did your husband think of the Jumeriah Beach hotel? We would also love to stay at the Burj, but unfortunately barring a lottery win it is not within price range!! Maybe for one night at the end of the trip!

Phew, its expensive! Dsis and family - 2ads, 2 kids went last Oct for a week, they enjoyed it. They really went as one of the kids has a friend there and was going to attend a 10th B/day party.
Cost £10,000, I`ll try and remember the hotel name, wasn`t one of the best though.

I spent 3 years in Dubai as a child and though it has changed a lot since then (I'd love to go back!) I can suggest that you avoid the summer months (We used to come back to England as it was too hot)

The Gold souks are like nothing I've ever seen before or since and if you do go try and get out into the desert for some offroading.

I believe you ever have to pay to look round the Burj! When I was there that whole stretch was mostly beach so quite a different horizon now!
