Ok, so my husband is a major breakfast person. I figured this trip, I would book a nice breakfast for him. I prefer not to do a character one, as it's just me and him, and we are doing Chef Mickey's for dinner, so one is enough. Anyway, I would like a buffet, but I know most are Character, so any ideas would be great!! Thanks!

Boma at the AKL is supposed to have one of the best breakfast buffets. We've never been but are trying it this year. And no characters per your request.

Boma is THE best breakfast ever...I have a ton of pics and reviews from our April trip in my signature...cannot wait to go back there in just 11 days!

Count us in for Boma:) . We just back from WDW and we had breakfast at Boma (AKL) and loved it. They have some things that are more African influenced--curry sausage biscuit casserole which was delicious and some kind of hash that dh really enjoyed. But they also have a huge array of other breakfast foods--pancakes, sausage, bacon, eggs, ham/egg/cheese omelets, several oatmeal/quinoa? dishes, lots of breads/danish/croissants, and a wonderful variety of fruit that was incredibly fresh.

As a bonus while we were there some of the staff broke out the drums and played some really amazing music that was a really nice touch in an already really enjoyable atmosphere. Yummy stuff and we will definitely put it on our agenda for next time!

Boma has a great breakfast - though it comes in tied for me with Kona b/c I am a tonga toast lover.

While it is a character meal I have to throw breakfast at CP in there. The food is really good and the fact that if you get an ADR before MK opens you get into the park early and get to walk up Main St. when it is virtually deserted and you are about the only ones there is awesome. Can't beat that in my opinion! That is always our first meal of the trip!

My favorite is CP but since that is a character breakfast I will offer my 2nd choice - Boma. You can't go wrong. Everything is delish. :)

Kona is our favorite Bkfst! But it is not a buffet! If you want a non-character buffet I think Boma is your best choice!:rotfl2:

Agree with others re Boma at AKL breakfast buffet ~ it's very good. Also agree that Kona at Poly has a great breakfast, though not buffet. Also not buffet but good food is Spoodles on the Boardwalk.

Fresh at the Dolphin.
Boma at AKL.

Boma has the best breakfast buffet by far, but the Kona Cafe has an excellent breakfast menu, and you can't beat the coffee. Boatwrights at the Port Orleans Riverside also has a very good breakfast, especially the sweet potato pancakes.

Haven't been there since they changed names, but we really liked the buffet at Captain's Grille at the Yacht Club - it was nice and deserted. For non-buffets - Grand Floridian Cafe! We ate there TWICE last time and I made sure it's on the list again this time. Again, if you go before 9, it's deserted.

I liked Boma, i think its the only real breakfast I have eaten in Disney (we usually get up late and eat big lunches and dinners) so i cant compare. When i think of breakfast there are a limited # of foods a breakfast buffet must have, and Boma had them. Bacon, eggs, omlets, sausage, well u can look at the menu but i was fat-n-happy. It's kinda hard to mess up w/ breakfast IMO.
