Which character dinner has the best food?

Another thumbs down for LTT. Like others have said, the food was cold, meat was dry and character interaction was rushed while the service was slow. It was just a really unpleasant experience. We are meat and potatoes people and not REAL hard to please.

We have only done 1900 Park Fare for breakfast and it was wonderful. So, for dinner, I have to say Chef Mickey's followed closely by Crystal Palace. I think we need to work 1900 PF dinner in on our December trip.

We LOVED the LTT, and was our best meal the whole 8 days we were there. It's really bizarre how many didn't enjoy there time. It will satisfy your character need (we saw all the characters 3-4 times), and all of the food was so delicious! We didn't experience anything being dry or cold, we got drinks refilled before it got to the bottom, and actually the only thing that wasn't touched mush was the Mac & Cheese. My ds ate some, but we enjoy real Mac & Cheese-so that was left alone. The dessert was warm & the ice cream had to be homemade-great dinner all around. You won't regret trying this one. Enjoy!

The best is 1900 Park Fare!! Besides what has already been mentioned, the breads are wonderful as well as the salads. Some very different, good combinations. DS loved the kids buffett.

We almost always hit Crystal Palace for Breakfast. Dh and I go even when we don't have the kids along...and we don't go for the characters!!

1900 for dinner is fantastic. I could be perfectly satisfied with just the salads and strawberry soup here! However, the other dishes also are excellent. If you go, be sure to try the pastas prepared at the little mini-buffet area on the left.

Boy, I wish I had read reviews like this 4 months ago when I booked Garden Grill. That gets my vote for worst character meal.

I agree! The Garden Grill was so bad to me that I ate off the kids' menu. :scared: Although I also didn't like lunch at the Crystal Palace so maybe I'm just picky. Characters were great there though, so maybe I'll try breakfast...
We are definately trying 1900 Park Fare for dinner~ gotta' try that strawberry soup! And our first night dinner is going to be Chef Mickey's. Can't wait to introduce the girls to the mice!

We had a wonderful lunch at Crystal Palace. It was much, much better than I expected.

We thought that the food at Garden Grill was okay (DH had the regular stuff, I had the vegetarian entree), but the character interaction and service were top notch! The chef really went out of her way by making our 18 month old (hence, free) vegetarian and severe egg allergic DD a special meal and special dessert.

Our worst character meal was the Princess Storybook Dinner. Blah! I'd never eat there again! The food was inedible and, despite a pretty empty restaurant, we only saw the princesses once.

Breakfast is definitely Crystal Palace! The puffed French Toast and Breakfast Lasagna are worth the price alone!

For Dinner, I say 1900 Park Fair- nice variety, classy ambience for a character meal- great Prime rib and yummy Strawberry Soup. :goodvibes

For those of you who had a bad experience at Garden Grill can you elaborate more? We are planning on going to 1900 Park Fare, Crystal Palace & were not 100% sure we were going to keep our Garden Grill ADR. More details may help us decide for sure!

Good food and a character meal is an oxymoron.

Last time I went to Chef Mickey's the food had gone way downhill, maybe not even as good as Golden Corral.

1900 park fayre is fab, try the chilled strawberry soup. i read about it on here, and its LUSH!!!! The Grand Floridan is great to look around and shop from too. We had really good character interaction here. So everyone should be happy!!!

For me it was that the food was pre-plated and brought out to us. I would rather go to a buffet and actually select what I want to eat and how big my portion size is. Their meat was spicer than I like and everything was touching. I'm sorry but I don't like all my foods touching! :confused3 I would not have selected any of the veggies yet there was half a plateful in front of me that I knew would be wasted... On the flip side, DH liked the food and their kids' chicken nuggets & fries were pretty good. ;)
The only other reason we went there was to view the revolving restaurant and the Land tour & stuff. We felt so rushed (it was just DH and I) and it revolved so slowly that we were done and never saw the back of the restaurant with all the cool scenery. Literally, we ate the entire meal while we rotated in front of all the hungry people standing outside waiting to get in. I don't eat well with an audience... But hey, this is just my opinion and I will admit to being a picky eater if that helps.
