Which breakfast: Chef Mickey's or Ohana?

Okay, my Disney dining experts...please help!

It's just me and DH going in July, staying at the WL and I would like to add one more character breakfast (we are already doing Crystal Palace).

I'm torn between Chef Mickey's and Ohana.

The pros of Chef Mickey's is there are more characters (I think...can someone verify which characters are at this breakfast?) and there is more food variety.

The pros of Ohana is it will probably be a little quieter and my hubby loves the Poly. The last time I was at Chef Mickey's it was pretty wild in there.

Which one has better quality food? And which should I pick?

Anywho - please help! Opinions?

Since its adults only I'd suggest O'hana. CM can be a bit of a zoo. Not to mention all the little fingers touching the buffet ;)

The food is brought to you which is much more relaxing, and the characters are great. We saw Mickey (In Hawaiin attire), Pluto, Lilo and Stitch (Actually Lilo was in the lobby) They each came around twice when we were their (12/05)

Here's a picture of the big skillet of food they bring you.

Bacon,Sausage, Mickey Waffles, Eggs, and Potatoes.

We also had fresh fruit, and a yummys basket of sweet breads, juice and coffee or tea. If you want more, they will bring you more. It was great! :thumbsup2

Another vote for Ohana, unless you would miss the napkin-twirling and noise of CM. :rotfl2: I love CM, but if it was just DH and me, I'd pick Ohana every time!

I have to disagree. I'd go with Chef Mickey's. As you said there are more characters there. I really didn't care for O'hanas. When I took my GD to O'hannas in Jan we were told Lilo was sick, so all we had were Mickey, Pluto, and Stitch. Just before Stitch got to us the kiddie parade started. We assumed that Stitch would resume visiting where he left off, but apparently he forgot, because he skipped our table, along with two others. We had to catch a waiter who brought him back over. Also we told the waitress we did not want the pineapple bread, but she brought it anyway. Our skillet came out cold (and I mean cold), so once we finally got our waitress's attention again, we sent it back. However she forgot to bring another one back out and she disappeared for the rest of the meal. We finally caught another waiter who went and got her. She was very apologetic, and said she'd get us another one, but by that time we had been in there for over 1 1/2 hours (with nothing but a small plate of fruit and OJ), and just wanted to get out of there. You'd have thought she'd deduct something from the bill, but she didn't. I couldn't believe it. My GD begged me not to create a scene, so I didn't, but I still can't believe I paid that much for a glass of OJ and 3-4 bites of fruit (and just three characters).

We are another vote for O'Hana's. I definately agree with the other posts about it being quieter and more relaxing. I like the food at both places but I think the food at O'Hana's is better and I like the fact that they bring it to you. We will be at the World in June and we have ADR'S at both places. We will have our Grandson with us (4yrs.) and he is a huge fan of Chef Mickey's, so we have breakfast and dinner ADR's there. We have just breakfast ADR'S at O'Hana's. However, their dinner there is wonderful too. But for this trip we were more focused on what he would be more interested in for the most part.

Michele
