Where would you sell these?

A friend of mine bought me a cute t-shirt and shirt for my birthday. However, she must have bought them on sale as Sears says they are past their return date. One is a cute mickey t-shirt, the other a really cute short sleeved summery shirt. Trouble is, they are teen mediums, and while I appreciate being thought of wearing that small of a size, they are too tight around the girls.
SO, I checked out ebay and saw very few bids on shirts. Where do you sell clothes? These still have the tags on them and are super cute.

Yard sale. If you don't have enough stuff for a whole yard sale or feel like having one, are any of your friends having one sometime soon that you can throw them into?

E=Bay, take picture and post. You can sell anythin on e-bay.

save and regift if they really are cute it would be more prudent financially to save them for a gift you will only geta couple of bucks on ebay

Yard sale.

I made just over $900 at mine yesterday.

I had my tops (even ones new, with tags), priced at $1 & $2, but I wanted them to SELL. I did not want to be stuck with something that I could not use. If you think you can get more, than you could try Ebay. Otherwise, regift....which is what your friend may have been doing in the first place. I say that, since the shirts are old stock.

Honestly, I'd just donate them to goodwill. It was a gift so it's not like you had anything in them. Ebay and craigslist are probably too much effort to be worth the couple bucks you'd make.

Do you have a Plato's Closet or a consignment shop nearby? Maybe try that. I only Ebay name brand things that are popular, other stuff doesn't sell for much by the time you get the fees out. Garage sale is another option, although my size clothes (4-6) didn't sell well at all, the kids stuff flys out the door.

I just googled this, and sure enough we have one! I have a few other things they might be interested in so this is probably what I'll do.

I appreciate the other suggestions, I just don't see me doing a garage sale anytime soon. Mine have never been super profitable, and the last one I had I had somebody steal things and somebody else switch price tags. Ugh.

Exactly. Round up a bunch of stuff and take it there and get a tax receipt.

There is a trade thread on here somewhere-on the budget board that is. Trade for something you want! I have made a couple successful trades on there myself....:goodvibes

Just a heads up about selling to Platos Closet. They are super picky about what they will take. They're interested in the popular high-end brand names, mainly for teens, and they want current styles. And, in my opinion, they don't give you much for what they do accept.

It's been my experience that it's just much easier to donate and take a tax deduction.

Doesn't sound like you'll get much for them on Ebay, and after you take out the Ebay fees, Paypal fees and mailing supply costs, you might be left with nothing. Plus consider how much time you'll have to invest (writing listings, taking pictures, going to post office to weigh and mail, etc.).

I think you'd be better off just giving them away. Is there a family homeless shelter or battered women's shelter in your area? I'm sure the teen girls there would love some new clothing. Most of the donations to places like that are geared to the younger children.
