Where would a boy hide his underwear??

My DS just turned 14. He will still 'misplace' his underwear. I will bring a whole stack of clean underwear upstairs and give it to him, and he proceeds to lay them down where ever he is - it could even be on the kitchen table. Then he walks away and can't for the life of him figure out where all of his underwear went! But, he won't really check into the missing unders until he gets ready to go somewhere the next day! He will run, panicked, through the house asking me if I have done laundry lately because he can't find any clean underwear!! I keep asking that boy how he is going to survive when he leaves my home!?! **sigh**

Hi all! It's me - the "underwear mom" (OP)! We just got back late Monday night, and yesterday I spent the day doing 6 loads of laundry. And yes, the missing underwear showed up in that mountain of laundry somewhere along the line. I KNOW I checked the hamper when I was hunting for his underwear the day before we left as so many of you suggested (there wasn't much in the hamper since I had just finished the laundry the day before). I'm thinking he must have stuffed his clean undies under the pile of dirty towels that I had in the laundry room instead of putting them away.... When we were on the airplane that morning heading to WDW, I told my son how I went to pack his underwear and couldn't find them anywhere. I asked him "what did you do with all your clean undies that day?" He admitted that he didn't put them away in his drawer, but couldn't remember where he actually put them!!!

Boys!! At least the mystery is solved. From now on, my boys will get clean underwear for each Disney trip - we'll start a new tradition from now on!

My 8yo *does* hide his underwear & goes through about 3 pairs a day. Be thankful yours just misplaced them

LOL! We leave tomorrow morning (7:30 a.m. flight) !! This trip is a surprise for my kids. I arranged for them to go to a friend's house today so I could pack and store the bags in my closet.

Well, there was NO underwear in my 8 yo's drawer. Where is it?? I KNOW I did laundry just yesterday and there were at least 6 clean pairs then. I remember asking him to take his stack of laundry to his bedroom and put it away. Well, OBVIOUSLY he didn't do what I asked! I checked all his drawers thinking maybe he just rushed and threw it all into one drawer - nope! Checked his closet....checked under his bed... No underwear still!! I've now gone through the rest of the house and can't find it! What would an 8 yo boy do with his underwear?????????? LOL! I don't know whether to laugh or scream!

I just thought I'd share. I'm really not asking for help in locating his underwear... though I haven't checked the basement yet. hmmmm....

I will be doing the exact same thing next Tuesady... I hope my kids dont hide their underware....

Wouldn't it have been just as easy to put them away as to hide them that way? I mean hiding them like that took effort!

That's what I would think!! But putting them away would mean having to actually walk up the stairs to his bedroom. I gave him his clean clothes to put away right outside the laundry room, so basically as soon as I walked away, he stuffed everything under the dirty towels right there in the laundry room!!!
