Where? Who? How? Photography? Help! Triplets take on the World!

I so relate to the MIL thing. Same thing with my FIL several years ago. Fortunately, I was able to talk to Dan and he immediately saw my point. Long story short, we got him in hospice and away from the hospital and the drs wanting to put him through all kinds of "stuff"!

I worked in the hospital and know for sure that we did tests on people, not because it was to their benefit, but was more a learning tool. I HATED doing that to people who just really needed to be made comfortable. Okay, nuff said!

Loving the plans for the trip. Glad hubby is on board. That always helps. I honestly get so excited for you. And about the "booger" picture. We have a picture from last December with my finger up the nose of a gargoyle on the bridge going into BOG. Usually not something I would think to do, but I guess I was high on something...Disney magic?

Our son is joining us this weekend, so we'll be really busy and I won't be on probably. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Oh I know Ruthie!!! I am so sorry. But in my Yay! You know me :bitelip:. I hope to find the time to get back over there on my PTR. I just don't really have much more to plan for. All my ADRs are done, I am checked in. What else?? I am not as chatty as these ladies.

Where are you from? Or do you not want to tell??? I have family in North Reading....is that close? (sorry Mo....threadjacking here) (you'll get over it) (love ya...mean it!)

Hi ~ Hope you are feeling better I had flu/pneumonia at the end of May took two weeks to shake it off.

What else? Research, spreadsheets, packing and then there is the re-arranging ADRs and/or hotel reservations if you are a changer like I can be.

I live in Groveland which is near Newburyport and the NH/ME border. I went to High School in Wakefield so grew up not too far away from North Reading or should I say NAWTH Reading.

BUT its a good choice its the one I put on my tshirt at DTD design a tee when I was going to PT and I may wear it for the race :) I had written on it:

Work Hard and Get All Paws Running now I need to find someone to applique it on my running skirt ;)
I am trying to get a lead for you but have not heard back from the designer. I will try to check my facebook to see if she responded. That shirt sounds really cute

:wave2: Hi Jane! I felt and still feel like the newbie. I don't remember most peoples screen name vs actual name, so I do get confused sometimes. And I don't always have something to say of any significance, but they are a fun group to follow. I just need more computer time to do so! :surfweb: I can never keep up.
I am the same way. There are a few more PTRs I want to check out but I am so bad at keeping up.

Mo - your trip sounds like it will be fun with another family. I have never been with a group but my sister has been with her husband's extended family. They told the others where they would be and got together for dinner ADRs. That worked for them because some families were still in the hotel at lunch time. They get up and go. Plus with cell phones you can keep in touch and get together in the parks if you want to.

Sorry about your MIL. Glad you got a chance to speak up, I am not good with that kind of stuff so I can relate to your DH. I am sure it is very hard for him, having to deal wih his mother's declining health.

Don't get me started on hose wristbands. As soon as I saw them I was thinking about ways to cover / customize them but all I can picture in my mind are the homemade scrunchies I used to make back in the day. LOL. At least the fabric would feel better than that plastic.

Ummm, as for no talent....have you seen any of your photos? :)

Couldn't keep away from the field on your day off? Hope your weekend is not too hectic.

Hey there Mo! So much to catch up on after being out of town for a week! :scared:

First...so sorry to hear about your MIL. It is a difficult thing to go through. We just made the decision to put my grandmother in a nursing home back in December so that she could receive the care she needed. Keep your head up...I'l be thinking about you and your family!

Second...OMG...the pic of the kiddos with their heads up a nose. :rotfl2: I laughed so hard I snorted...how appropriate!

Third...the D~ bidding wars!:scared1: Holy D~ bags Batman! That was intense...and I wasn't even bidding. :sad2: I came really close to bidding on the Mike W. wallet/lanyard set but I couldn't bring myself to outbid you! I know your were distraught  about losing Scrump...there was know way I could swoop in and steal Mike! :confused3 It's all good though! Enjoy!

You know...I was out of town for 5 days, checked in here periodically but didn't really have time to comment....and I so out of touch. I missed my DIS friends! It's good to be back. :flower3:

Yay for the thiroid being almost normal! When are they gonna work on the rest of you??? :rotfl2: OK - sorry... :rolleyes1 Couldn't resist.

ROFL at that picture of you guys pushing the jeep... Seriously - you are the only one who is putting forth any effort? I think DH is smiling because he doesn't have to work as hard with you there??? :thumbsup2

Yay for TAs... You know how I feel about mine... And most of the reason I love her is because she lets me plan everything... Wouldn't have it any other way. :cloud9:

D~

:confused3 sincerely don't understand this:
Yay for TAs... You know how I feel about mine... And most of the reason I love her is because she lets me plan everything... Wouldn't have it any other way.

not being snippy I think you know me better than that, but what is the benefit then ? In my mind that would be like hiring someone to clean my house and then saying I love her because she lets me clean everything

LOL... I had to explain this to Mo too...

First of all - my TA is a VERY good friend. She is paid through Disney for her work, not by me. It costs me nothing to "hire" her. I tell her what I want vs. telling Disney what I want - and she does it for me. I see no reason to not let a friend benefit from my trips when it costs me nothing to do so.

For most people - she DOES plan everything... But - our personal agreement - is that she let's ME plan everything. Honest to God - the only difference with me hiring her, vs doing everything myself, is that I don't get the Disney music when she puts me on hold (which she never does - LOL). And quite honestly, with all the conversions Disney has been doing with their website - having a TA has been a huge time saver for me... because she has speant countless hours on hold with Disney vs. me spending countless hours on hold with Disney.

So, for most people... their TA does all the work... With me - this is how I WANTED it... At any time, I could tell her to plan everything - but I NEED my hands in the pot. It's a win/win IMO. :thumbsup2

And no... I didn't think you were being snippy - I "get" it. I just hope I explained it right. I tried to type it out to Mo once and she didn't get it - but once I explained it to her in person when she was here - she "got" it (I think...).

D~

I get it AND you're helping a friend win-win for sure ! now since I am following you around the Dis this fine beautiful Sunday morning I have comments made on your PTR...get young lady...move along....and don't forget to stop in at mine :lmao:

Uffdah, :) I just spent my entire Sunday reading this ENTIRE ptr!!! hahaha thanks for the entertainment!

I feel like I am in the same boat with the planning as we are not going until Oct 2014. My mom and I started planning last fall, (we are a little ridiculous, but seem to fit right in around here!) :rotfl2: However, this is our first trip EVER! I love reading about everyone's experiences because I really have no idea what to expect. I mean I have read about 7 different WDW planning guides, scoured (sp?) the internet, and watched countless you tube videos ( can we say obsessive), but I don't think you can really imagine how it will be until you get there; which is sooooooooo far away! OMG that was a huge run-on sentence-please do not judge! :rotfl:

Well, it looked like an elephant to me. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

What are the dates...I admit I skimmed a bit.

And I miss you too.

Sept 3rd to the 10th... So far.. you know how things change... AS long as i am IN Disney on Sept 8th im good..
Skipped a bit.. another slacker...

It does look like an elephant.. i would not allow my kids to stick their heads in any part of an elephant! HA HA HA HA....

I so relate to the MIL thing. Same thing with my FIL several years ago. Fortunately, I was able to talk to Dan and he immediately saw my point. Long story short, we got him in hospice and away from the hospital and the drs wanting to put him through all kinds of "stuff"!
she is still in the hospital because of the heart failure stuff going on and wont move her until that is under control??

I worked in the hospital and know for sure that we did tests on people, not because it was to their benefit, but was more a learning tool. I HATED doing that to people who just really needed to be made comfortable. Okay, nuff said!
This is a double edge sword i guess. IMO as i would be OK for the testing to hopefully help the next person who has the same ailment?? possibly a child??

Loving the plans for the trip. Glad hubby is on board. That always helps. I honestly get so excited for you. And about the "booger" picture. We have a picture from last December with my finger up the nose of a gargoyle on the bridge going into BOG. Usually not something I would think to do, but I guess I was high on something...Disney magic?
you can post your picture!!!
It was either he is on board or he was going to be left behind!!! :lmao:
He loves Disney as much as i do.. So that lit the fire!!!

Our son is joining us this weekend, so we'll be really busy and I won't be on probably. Hope everyone has a great weekend!
I'm hardly ever on during the weekends way too busy! I hope you had a great visit and a better weekend!

Hi ~ Hope you are feeling better I had flu/pneumonia at the end of May took two weeks to shake it off.
J

I'm back to normal and raring to go!

Oh gosh.....too funny!

That Kathy... :lmao:

I am the same way. There are a few more PTRs I want to check out but I am so bad at keeping up.

i used to be. Until i got the app on my phone...

I agree! we will be able to do whatever together. they really need alone time in Disney to get their OWN love for it!!! I think you might miss out on a lot trying to keep up with someone else.
Then again i am very slow in the parks.. ya know Camera in hand at ALL TIMES.

Sorry about your MIL. Glad you got a chance to speak up, I am not good with that kind of stuff so I can relate to your DH. I am sure it is very hard for him, having to deal wih his mother's declining health.

thank you.

:sad2: we shall see what D comes up with... popcorn::

Ummm, as for no talent....have you seen any of your photos? :)

They are OK...

Couldn't keep away from the field on your day off? Hope your weekend is not too hectic.

I know.. But i promised the one kid i would take pictures.. so i did, I cannot say No to kids i like.. i need to work on this.

Hey there Mo! So much to catch up on after being out of town for a week! :scared:
always hard to catch up.. you have an excuse! i can't wait to see pictures!!!

First...so sorry to hear about your MIL. It is a difficult thing to go through. We just made the decision to put my grandmother in a nursing home back in December so that she could receive the care she needed. Keep your head up...I'l be thinking about you and your family!

thank you!!!

Second...OMG...the pic of the kiddos with their heads up a nose. :rotfl2: I laughed so hard I snorted...how appropriate!

:rotfl2: They are a lot of fun... They just go along with anything.

Third...the D~ bidding wars!:scared1: Holy D~ bags Batman! That was intense...and I wasn't even bidding. :sad2: I came really close to bidding on the Mike W. wallet/lanyard set but I couldn't bring myself to outbid you! i was upset, but at least i lost to a good person. She deserved it! and all the money went to a good cause! :hug:you could have outbid me, I wouldn't have been mad!!!! we are all friends and its the way it goes!!! I still have an incredible incredibles bag! can't wait to get it!!!

You know...I was out of town for 5 days, checked in here periodically but didn't really have time to comment....and I so out of touch. I missed my DIS friends! It's good to be back. :flower3:

we missed you too!! Sorry/Glad your back!!!

didn't want you getting ripped off baby ;) but IMHO you do not need a TA you good planner

Nope I wanted to see if they can price me being so far out. Just to get an idea.. :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2

Right?!?! this was fun to pose for! the PP guy was from Chicago and spent a lot of time with us taking tons of pictures. the other people were a little peeved at how much time we did have.. I didn't really care. we had a blast!
Oh and the truck didn't budge. :confused3

Yay for TAs... You know how I feel about mine... And most of the reason I love her is because she lets me plan everything... Wouldn't have it any other way. :cloud9:
D~

OK IF i do hire one.. could she/he make the Dessert party ressie??

LOL... I had to explain this to Mo too...

First of all - my TA is a VERY good friend. She is paid through Disney for her work, not by me. It costs me nothing to "hire" her. I tell her what I want vs. telling Disney what I want - and she does it for me. I see no reason to not let a friend benefit from my trips when it costs me nothing to do soI tried to type it out to Mo once and she didn't get it - but once I explained it to her in person when she was here - she "got" it (I think...).

D~

Oh i understood. :thumbsup2 you typed S.L.O.W. enough for me.

Uffdah, :) I just spent my entire Sunday reading this ENTIRE ptr!!! hahaha thanks for the entertainment!

That's what i am here for!!! :thumbsup2
