Didn't see this posted anywhere but it looks like the Paradise Cove Luau is closing.

But on New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31, 2025, the luau is set to shut its doors after 47 years of operation.

Yep there's a new development coming to the area with shops restaurants, a new outdoor amphitheater, etc.

Condolences to all the Ohana that worked there. Never good to see any local business go like that.

Is this confirmed this time? Because this was supposed to happen last year, but turned out either it was bad info - or maybe it was just delayed?

By all accounts, the new development will employ more folks than Paradise Cove did. But maybe that's just developer-speak and I know Hawaii residents are skeptical of developers.

Confirmed. This article indicates employees were given 60 days notice at the end of October. Closing at the end of 2025.

I know - if you look at their website they stop offering reservations on 12/31. And there are still tickets for that one - probably going to be a very emotional luau. The last luau. When can you say you’ve been to a last one?

I hope whatever comes of that land is good for the area.

The new plans sound kinda Disney Springs-ish, from what I've heard. Maybe with a little Hawaiian culture thrown in.

News of the closing is why we chose to go last September. That and it was a short walk from Aulani.
