At the risk of sounding goofy, our last stay was so rushed & the room wasn't ready @ checkin; when i did get the call I forgot to write the room # down.:guilty: It was sure a goodie!

Emailed the asst to asst mgr;) i had been corresponding with & she identified it only as "a wedged room":confused3 ...as in it was sorta pie shaped with the narrow end @ the window, flat wall on right side & angled wall on left as looking toward view.

It was an upper floor (5th)? Here's a pic, anyone want to take a stab @ identifying it so I can request next trip? please:)

Yeah ,reckon they need to do a lot of cutting back.We where on Floor 5 tower 1 and the trees where up to it.
Could i put in for discounts for obstructed views because of the trees:rotfl2:

Hey....saw a pic on my screensaver...so, went in search of..... this is room 1541 at RPR...look at the shape of the room on the "emergency exit" info on the back of our door....we must have had a similiar room ;)

you are the wo-MAN:banana:

consulted with my better half, we're thinking it was 5541 or possibly 5542? whether that would be the room to the left or right i don't know.

we've been having a good laff about the fact that none of us remember where the bathroom was or what side of room it was on; know it didn't have that cool wooden fret work between the portions of room.

we had spent the night frantic since we left our phone charger @ home & all the local AT&T stores where closed until 11:00 am the next day (long after we had to leave for TPA). Star services even searched in the box of leftover chargers to no avail, nice try by them though; they gave us a list of small electronic dealers along the way on Universal Drive (nada) & in TPA, found one there.:thumbsup2

Your number would start with the tower 3 then floor number 5 then room number.

lemme 'wow' you again....here's a pic of the wooden fret on the wall...it's there, but it wasn't "open" (like it was in the room we had the year before [1729]) ........

Our room was on the right side of the hall (as you walked toward it....park view was 'other side of hall'). When we entered the room the bathroom was on the right and the 'adjoining room door' was on the left. Then, closet on the left, with tv and such...beds on the right. Ya know why it 'narrows' at the window? If you look at the 'layout'...the 'flat' part in the middle is where these rooms are.... From the outside of the hotel, it's the 'middle' part of the building...where the building "bends" so to speak  In our room i noticed: that wall that separates the bed from the sink area isn't 'straight'...it's on an angle...giving the area between the bed & wall MORE room :confused3 Whatever....

Anyhow... i believe this may the type of room you guys had too..... oh, and our room was 1st one next to the ice machine. In other words, after walking the loooong hall after the elevator, it splits left or right....we went right and our room was right there--1st one. (= middle)

believe it or not i knew that, forgot - thanks for reminding me:thumbsup2

funny story, last trip the bellman made a big production of taking us to replacement room as per the info he got from the front desk...

only problem was, the door wouldn't open with our card key

he whipped out his "master key"; freaking out the occupants in the room

he got turned around as to floors:rotfl:

barb - thanks for the explanation!

if i ever do start the TR i'll post the only pic i did manage to take of the room

still think i'm going to call the main desk on monday & see if they can pull up what room we were in...hopefully, they still have the info

Since you were in Tower 3, I think your room would have to be even #'d to have a pool view. I used Barb's pic above, because in Tower 3, Floor 7 the layout is the same except that those 2 slanted rooms are combined to make a "First Officer's Suite" and then the 3 slanty rooms across from the are the club lounge. We were a door or 2 down to the right, and our room # was 3724. If you go to the left, the numbers go down (so your first room off the elevator is 3700). Not sure if the other floors are numbered differently, so perhaps something like 35xx where xx is an even number.

If you find out (or did you save a bill?), come back and let us know! If I had to guess based on my experience in Tower 3/Floor 7, I would guess either 3518, 3520, or 3522.
