I was told I need to be at Vista Way on check in day by 1:00pm. in order to get all of the stuff done. For me that is on 08/13. My problem is that all of the flights from Kansas City will arrive too:cool1: late to make that. So I am thinking I will arrive the day before, where should I stay for one night that is safe, not far away, and that would be on a shuttle circuit from the airport to hotel to Vista? Is that possible, or I could take a cab. Thanks!

You have a couple options. By far the most popular is the Holiday Inn Sunspree resort, which is literally across the street from Vista Way. There are also other hotels (Courtyard, etc) within a very close proximity of the area. Search for "Lake Buena Vista" on the popular travel search sites for hotels in the area.

I would recommend staying in LBV as opposed to an airport hotel. That allows you to start your check-in process really early on, and if you time it right, leave your bags in your hotel room until you're fully checked in, when you can head back to your hotel, check out, and then move your bags into your apartment.

A shuttle fare via Mears to the general area is about $19.

KC Represent! I'm from Lee's Summit :)

Chris pretty much covered everything hotel-wise (although there is also the Sheraton Vistana...they have some villas there, if you're bringing your family with you and need more space, and it's right next door to Vista) , but as far as flights are concerned, have you already purchased your flight? Southwest typically has a flight that leaves KC around 7:30, I believe, and gets in around 11 or so. I know that it's offered most days, because that's the flight that I usually take to get down there, because it's non-stop, and is one of the few flights that actually get me in at a decent hour :) Good luck, and have a great time!!!

Hey, I am from Lee's Summit too! Are you going fall '08? Are you going to Longview? Look me up on facebook, Allison Coontz.
