My DS will be proposing to his GF on our next trip to WDW in April, 2008. He plans to pop the question at MK (their favorite park), first thing in the morning. He wants to do it somewhere around the castle.

My DD suggested on Main Street in front of the Castle and I thought the Rose Garden near the wishing well would be romantic and not as hectic. Any suggestions? Will one of the Photopass photographers come over and take pics if I ask?

This is going to be an amazing trip for us. We'll be celebrating the engagement, my 54th B-day, my DD's 24th B-day, and our 30th Wedding Anniversary!!!

You should read this article! It has a lot of suggestions.

My DF didn't propose at WDW, he proposed during a hiking trip and it was just the two of us. If he had proposed at WDW, I would have LOVED a more private proposal like a romantic dinner or a private walk, before or after fireworks.

I think Disney offers proposal packages, where they would help your DS and it might include a few pictures.

When will you all be there?

OOOOPPPPPSSSSSSSS, here it is...

Ooh, I saw such a cute proposal during my trip this past December. It was like 3am during Extra Magic Hours in the MK, and we were behind the castle waiting to meet M&M. Anyway, there was a couple standing inside the castle (which may only be achievable at certain times, mostly later at night after fireworks and parades are all over). I'm guessing the man arranged photography through Disney, because there were a couple of Cast Members taking pics for them. The man led his girlfriend in front of the mosaic on the wall depicting Prince Charming putting Cinderella's glass slipper on her foot. Then he dropped to one knee and proposed, it was so sweet!

Cinderella's Royal Table does a glass slipper package for engagements. The ring is brought out as your 'dessert' after dinner. Let me tell you they trat you like royalty if you are propsosing!!!! We got a special window seat, a menu to take, Coach and Castle glitter, the Slipper dessert, Toasting Glasses, and the characters spend a little extra time at the table, the Photopass there, and the Fairy Godmother even aanounced it when she did her show!

I have my full report on my engagement there in the link in my signature. Hope that helps!

WOW what a celebration trip!!!!
I hope you all have the time of your life!

The rose garden to the right of the castle would be a perfect spot......quiet, benches, flowers and easy access to the WDW photographers.:tinker:

My Fiance proposed to me at the rose garden this past December and it was verrrry romantic! Also, the photopass person was already there! He did it in the middle of the day and it was a complete surprise! I was definitely not expecting it then and it was perfect!:goodvibes

DF proposed to me dec 16th 06' at Cinderella's Royal table (dinnertime) I never saw it coming, but he had the engagement package so I got the slipper with my ring in it (when I thought it was my dessert...there was a cover over it so I didn't know.) We also got the champagne flutes and the photopass photographer that started snapping pictures from the moment he hit his knee. I couldn't of dreamed of a better proposal. Hth. :goodvibes
