Hi. My DH, DD 7, DD 5 and I are coming to the World from October 18th through the 29th. Wondering where to eat if we want to do mini golf in the evening. Looking primarily based on location and one that is included in DDP, either TS or CS. We may try to do both Fantasia Gardens and Winter Summerland. Any advice would be appreciated.

Just a question/thought. I am confused. Why would you want to do mini golf 2 days in WDW when you can do that anywhere in the "real world"? There is so much that is unique to only WDW that I wonder what your thought is.
Thanks

We really liked Winter Summerland the best out of the two but both are fun.

You can take the Blizzard Beach bus to get to Winter Summerland until it quits running and then walk from Coronado Springs to Winter Summerland once it is. I have been told that there is a sidewalk between the two but hopefully someone can confirm this to be sure. A lot depends on where you will be coming from but I might be inclined to eat at my resort before going in this case.

Fantasia Gardens is an easy walk from the Boardwalk so you could eat at any of the resorts in that area to make is as simple as possible. Of course if you have a car, you can easily eat anywhere and then just drive over to whichever course you decide to go to.

I can't speak for the OP but we usually play mini-golf because we enjoy it plus the Disney courses are nicely themed. We can ride coasters and spinner rides in the real world too but they aren't necessarily as well themed as some of the rides at WDW. When DS was young to this day, he'd almost rather play mini-golf than do virtually anything else and I get a kick out of it too. Isn't that what a vacation is all about?

This is very good to know. We loved Winter Summerland courses - they are great, the best we have seen, and so different than any other courses, but the time of year we go, Blizzard Beach is closed for refurb so getting there is always a huge issue.

Last year we tried the Fantasia courses which were very nice, not as crowded as Winter Summerland, which was very busy. The nice thing about the Fantasia courses is that you walk there from the Swan/Dolphin, then after you are done, you can eat anywhere in that area - Boardwalk, Beach and Yacht Club are close by - within walking distance or you can take a boat if you prefer from the Swan/Dolphin boat stop.

Enjoy! We love mini golf at Disney!

I love Mini Golf I honestly enjoy it A LOT on my Disney trips, especially when the parks are crowded :)

Winter Summerland is not real far from the Animal Kingdom Restaurants I mean not walking distance but a close bus or car ride!

Sanaa Boma and Jiko are all fantastic options!!!

Fantasia Gardens is in a perfect location right next to the Swan, Dolphin, Yacht Beach and Boardwalk resorts!!

I think the some of the best restaurants on property are right at these resorts :) all within walking distance too!!!

we did this on a date night & walked through to the Beach Club for beaches & cream, it was such a chilled out night & of course we didn't need an ADR for this one so took our time, was a lovely evening, enjoy!

I always like to hit the Dolphin Fountain after a round of mini golf at Fantasia Gardens.

we like winter-summerland, and usually go each trip and play both courses.

I think taking advantage of disney transportation is going to be your best bet. Pick a restaurant you want to eat at, and you can figure out a way to get just about anywhere you want to go.

Mini-Golf is closest to Swan & Dolphin.

Restaurant at Dolphin Pool - Cabana - is yummy. Fountain Ice Cream Parlor inside Dolphin has best ice cream at Disney (they serve food too). There are 'Signature' places inside as well (Il Mulino, Shula's, & blueZoo, etc.).

And since mini-golf is near Boardwalk - ESPN Zone is fun for the kids, Burgers/Steak at Big River Brewery, and Kouzinna are also options.

Lastly, Yacht & Beach Club have even more choices, but they are just a bit further away.

Last August my kids and I spent two weeks at Disneyworld (offsite condo) and had the water fun & more option, so we went over to the Fantasia Gardens mini golf one afternoon. It was a lot of fun! Only took an hour or so I think, but it is a nice break and fun to do something different. It's an easy stroll over to the Boardwalk (like the others have said). If you're on the dining plan and want a quick service meal, we have had sandwiches at the Boardwalk Bakery - with the plan you get a sandwich (large enough for two, or one very hungry adult), plus drink, side (I think a tiny cucumber salad or chips) and a dessert (they have beautiful tarts and pastries). It's so fun to stroll and watch the entertainment in the evening on the Boardwalk!
If not doing something on the plan, there is a hot dog cart also on the Boardwalk.
Also, if you want to walk further, you can go right into Epcot through the International Gateway, and you have tons of choices!

My husband and I LOVE Fantasia Garden. It's a few minutes walk from Beaches & Cream (beach club/yacht club) that a friend of mine recommended and we are going to try it.
