For our first trip I want to start our first day in the MK by having an early breakfast in the park. What are your suggestions Crystal palace or Cinderellas table? I would love to wake Tinkerbell. Any experiences and suggestions would be appreciated.

I have done CRT for lunch. But we LOVE Crystal Palace. Great character interaction, good food, and I think it is a very pretty place!
I love first seatings because the park is so quiet and not crowded. You can get some great pics too!
I hope you have a WONDERFUL trip! :)

Hi edeeheulb,

You must be so excited! You are sure to have a wonderful day!

If you are traveling with young princesses or just have your heart set on eating inside Cinderella Castle you are sure to enjoy your plated breakfast (or any other meal) here. You will find the Princesses circulating at breakfast and lunch. The Crystal Palace is also a great choice for any meal. You will find Pooh and his friends hosting an extensive buffet inside this bright and most cheerful restaurant. I have two girls who love both of these breakfasts.

A nice late breakfast (almost lunch time) after an early morning of touring can also be great fun. Consider late breakfasts for your MK days at Chef Mickey's, Ohana's, or 1900 Park Fare. These are all just a quick monorail ride away (or walk to Chef Mickey's) from the MK. Late morning breaks can help refresh your family just as the park has filled with other vacationers. After your late meal you can head back to the park or back to your resort for a dip in the pool.

I hope your first MK trip is more magical and filled with more pixie dust than you have imagined! pixiedust:

We recently returned from our first trip to Disney! What an awesome place. I do have to say, CP is really special! It is beautiful and bright, and I love Pooh and the Gang! A great way to start your vacation!:thumbsup2

Being there before the park opens is an awesome feeling and the pictures you can get of the castle with not one person in them are priceless! :yay:

With that being said, if you can do both of them do it!!!! DD6 LOVED breakfast in the castle. It was a dream come true for her! We had a seat by the window overlooking Fantasyland. We met all of the princesses princess: and got pics and autographs. Definitely worth the money IMO. We were seated and finished in time for rope drop right at the castle and went straight to Dumbo and made the first ride of the morning! That was FABULOUS!

Whatever you decide, have a great time!!:cheer2:

We have never done CRT--we don't have princesses, we have princes (well, that is what boys are called...not sure they are "princes" :lmao: ).
We love Crystal Palace and this is a must-do breakfast for us every single trip. Not only because Pooh and Tigger are my favorites, but for the food which is terrific--especially the puffed french toast and we've always had great service and character interaction.

We also always have Crystal Palace scheduled during each trip. We do like Cinderella's Royal Table though and are doing that as well for our next trip. It's a little tougher to book but it's worth it.

Welcome to the DIS, edeeheulb!

I'm going to move this over to the restaurant board! We have a great group of posters over there, and you'll get some awesome advice there.

:) Chef Mickey's is close enough to consider too. CRT is great if you haven't done it. A lot depends on which characters your kids like best.

Awwwwwww...my DD6 only asked to "see the princesses", so since that was her only request we are going to Princess Storybook in Akershus AND CRT Breakfast and (IMHO) NO trip would be complete without breakfast at CP!!!!

We did 1900 Park Fare (for princesses) a couple of years ago and it was good too. However, this trip is a short one and we couldn't fit it in!!! Hold on a minute........there's always LUNCH!!!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

We've done Crystal Palace and it is enjoyable. Being INSIDE the MK is nice...but there are several other good options available close by too, just a monorail away... Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary and Ohana at the Poly. We've done them both, and they all work out really well getting over the MK by opening or just a tad after, if you get as close to an 8 am ADR as possible.

Thanks fro all the great tips.. The disboards have been such a great help for this first timer.

Crystal Palace - it has the best breakfast on Disney property - my opinion of course. Also my daughter loves the food and the characters there.

Lots of selection and the food is very fresh. We always try for the 8 am time frame.
