Hi!

I am trying to plan our first nite of our trip. I want to go to the Boardwalk. How far is the Beach club from there? Within walking distance? I would really like to eat at Beaches & Cream for lunch. Can you make PS Res there?

I tentatively have PS for dinner at 1900 Park Fare for the Cinderella Dinner but I'm thinking of canceling & just doing dinner somewhere closer to Boardwalk. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Jennifer

BC is right across the lake from the BW and about a 5 min. walk, a very pleasant one at that! If you are not into walking you can take the water ferry over.

You can eat at Flying Fish (FF) for a more expensive sit down dinner or ESPN Club for a casual meal. In between are Spoodles and Big River.

The BW entertainment starts up aroun 7:00 and runs thru 11:00pm (at least it did in Feb. when we were there).

:D

Spoodles is our favorite place to eat at the Boardwalk. Excellent food every time we go.

Beaches and Creme does not take PSs. But lunch time isn't nearly as busy as the evening. Try an early lunch around 11 for the least wait.

Flying Fish is one of my all-time WDW favorites. I thought it was like California Grill but less expensive. Spoodles is also excellent, especially for something a little different.

I have a quick question: I have PS for the Flying Fish---is there a dress code? We were going to wear dressy shorts is that ok? Thanks:confused:

Katiebug,

You can easily walk to the Boardwalk. If you want a quieter but good atmosphere place you can take the boat to the Swan/Dolphin and go into Palio. Its not noisy like ESPN, has strolling musicians but no attitude and you can always get in there without a PS. We adore Flying Fish and ate there twice on our February visit but it can be very loud. For a 1st night we often hit Palio for a great salad, gourmet pizza and some music - their pasta is divine too.

Enjoy!

You can easily walk to the Beach Club from BoardWalk and, as vicb say, it is a very pleasant walk. However, Beaches and Cream is highly overrated IMHO (*ducks* ;) ). Having said that, you're only planning on lunch, so you should be OK. The BoardWalk has so many great dinner options. ESPN has a great atmosphere (if only 'OK' food), especially if there's a game on, Spoodles is also great (just order a selection of the tapas together with a flat bread), and Flying Fish is something else - definitely one of the highlights of WDW dining.
