Day 5... Animal Kingdom
So you know the routine by now Mickey call everyone up... Hannah is in her new dress yet again.
It looks really cloudy out so we know rain is coming but that doesn't stop us we are on holidays. We don't get to Animal Kingdom for opening but darn close. Now this isn't one of the kids favourites. They are not animal people. Hannah is scared of grandpa's cat and if there is a dog even a tiny cute dog walking on the street we have to cross to the other side. I am scared one day she is going to get bite because she really shows she is scared. Nicholas he is getting better but he is the same.
Only reason that they even want to go this time is of course Everest . Nicholas loves roller coasters. I used to be like that but now I can take them or leave them . I always have Hannah as an excuse now to sit it out. But I to want to try this one. Nicholas wants to sit with me but he wants the front. No thank you, Hannah and I sit behind hubby and him.Grandma sits with a teen girl that has been on it 5 times she says.
Anyway when we get to Animal Kingdom it is hubby's turn to run for fastpasses. The rest walk back slowly enjoying the sites. When we get back there it is only a 20 min. wait so we hop in line. I don't even think it was 20 mins. It is really cool to look at all the artifacts in the hut. Nicholas was really into this stuff. He was like Wow. So we get up to do the ride. Poor Hannah tried to cover her eyes a few times, it scared her. She said it made her stomach feel funny too, like the tower. I couldn't enjoy the ride because I know she wasn't liking it. Grandma, Nicholas and hubby give it a thumbs up.
So we get off and the wait still isn't long so they hope on it again while Grandma, Hannah and I head to Dino Land. Hannah wants to ride the dinosaurs. We do this twice. The park feels empty to me. Maybe the weather is scaring people away because those clouds are getting darker. Hannah really wants to go on the Primeval Whirl but she is to short yet. Have to be 48 inches and she is 44. So we play one game there. To expensive to play more and if you don't win you get nothing. So we play the one you toss the ball and try to get it in a colour spot. She does and we get a small dino. We go show Grandma but she starts to cry. I ask her what is wrong thinking she wanted something bigger. No that wasn't it, she wanted a different colour. They gave her red and she wanted purple. So we go over and the CM exchanges it for purple. All is right in the world again for a six year old.
Bye this time the guys are back, you see we have lunch ADR at Whispering Canyon and have to run. We only have time to stop at one gift shop on the way out. I would have loved to see Lion King or did the River but it wasn't to be. On our way out we look for people that might have 5 in there group. You can see people ready to run for those fastpasses like we did. We stop a group and give them ours. Hubby said the wait was up to 40 mins. when they left. We were happy to make some ones day.
So we are of to Whispering Canyon. Now we know this restaurant from Jan. We stayed at Wilderness Lodge. The kids loved showing Grandma the lobby and the gift shop and told her she had to rub the nose on the bear.
Now Whispering Canyon is a fun place we went for dinner last time so they do the whole ketchup thing. If you don't know what the ketchup thing is, well it is when someone asks for ketchup and everyone(mostly the kids) bring you all the ketchup. You may end up with 20 bottles of ketchup on your table.Well they don't do that at lunch. The kids were disappointed by that . But it still was fun. The waitress still had fun with the kids. They still did a pony ride around the restaurant. Some people got huge drinks served but we didn't get that even though the kids kept drinking my drink so she would being out a huge one to me. I do know the guys had all you can eat skillet thing and Grandma and I had the pulled pork. Everything was really good. Now as we were sitting there eating the sky broke loose and we had some pretty hard rain and wind. The waitresses in there kept saying it was snowing it was blowing so hard. I would not want to see what a hurricane wind would look like here. We were glad we weren't still at the park when it hit and felt sorry for the one that were. So we sat it out until it slowed and stopped. I would recommend this place. Mind you it does get loud in there and if you don't like to play along it wouldn't be for you. It is all good fun.
So on our way out the kids have to ring the cow bells on the way to the bus stop. They did this every morning and night in Jan. Since the rain stopped we were off to Epcot. We had the rest of the World to see. Time goes so fast, we also did all the favourites again. No 3D though. Epcot was the late park too so that helped us do what we wanted to do. We did Fast Track while the fireworks were going off and when we got off the people heading that way. So hint go when people are watching the fireworks. I forgot to mention that they don't do your picture for you to see on this ride anymore. Hannah was always in the back last time so when Grandma came on with us she was in front and thought great we can see her now and to our surprise the pictures are gone.
Next stop the MouseGears. Funny how we keep going in these and they pretty well have the same things but we go in anyway. Part because we are looking for pins and part the kids want to play. Every store that has a potato head, Hannah has to put one together. So this time I decide she could buy one. Well it is $18.00 for the box. So I try to stick alot in there but I can't get all she wants. Hubby to the rescue. He packs things in the car all the time. Especially at Christmas time when we have to take everything with us. Anyway he starts doing this and there is another couple, they were just married trying to do the same thing. So it turned out to be a contest to see who could get the most in. Hubby won. It was really funny to watch and when we took the box to pay it was ready to pop. But the CM didn't say anything about it not being closed all the way, he said he saw worse so don't be afriad to really stuff the box.
Now of course Hannah is ready to go back and play with it.The guys want to go on Mission Space and Test Track one more time so off they go and off we go to the room. This was the only time we had to wait on a bus. But they kept bring more buses so it was to bad.
Same routine for bed. They come back and take Hannah to the pool even though I had her ready for bed. But we only have one more day so I can't really argue.
Next Up Our last and most Magical Day......
