Where to begin.....August....Hot **pics added " Now The End"

Before I write about the last day at Disney I know I missed a few things that I will add now.

We did see the 3 o'clock parade at M.K. Usually don't do parades because that is the best time to ride with out lines but we were on our way out of the park for the afternoon. A nice family let Hannah sit in front with her boys. I think she just liked that I was spraying the whole family with the water and fan bottle. Just kidding she was very nice. But boy was it hot. Grandma stayed under the tent where they were selling popcorn.

So when the parade was over we went in to the bakery because we really need water after that. I wouldn't mention this except for when I gave her Hannah's card for a snack credit she said the card wasn't signed. Okay take mine then. Up to this point it really didn't matter who's card got what. Only time it mattered was when we were going into the park of course. So the lady there say no and gives me back the card and says for Hannah to sign the card. Poor Hannah hears this is freaked out about what she might have to do. The lady goes she can do it , and asks how old she is. So I tell Hannah it is like school just print your name on the back of the card. I should have just left I suppose and got my water somewhere else. It was a weird situation.

Another thing is that at M.K. you don't have to put two fingers in to idenify you, just one finger tip. Just make sure you use the same finger each time. We also tried not taking bags one evening to Epcot. Well you still have to go though that line to go in with your ticket. So we didn't get ahead after all.

The other thing I guess would be that not many know Belle with the red dress. When people saw the crown they know it was Belle but we had little girls coming up to Hannah to see who she was. It was kind of funny. Plus the fact that people probably thought I made her wear that hot dress in the heat. I guess that made the dress even more special because not everyone was wearing one. She will wear it on Halloween just like she did Sleeping Beauty. In our eyes it was definetly not a waste of money because it won't sit idle in the closet now she has one to share when her friends come over.

I will post some more pics.....random ones because if I put them in where they belong you will miss them. Thanks for reading and sharing my pictures.

As I promised more pics.

Nab!!!!

SWEEEEET pics!!!!

I have to tell you tho. On that one, I had to read it twice. :teeth:

OK, I finally got all caught up. The pics are great and your kids are adorable.
Your Princess obviously loved being all dressed up.

Sounds like a wonderful trip. Next time you drive down with the trailer you need to try Fort Wilderness, you will love it and so will the kids.

Sheri--- No need to get the kids drunk this time, they were exhausted from
the heat and activities of the day. Ususally I am telling them to go
to sleep and stop fooling around, not this time.

Grammy--I know that Hubby would have liked to stay at Fort Wilderness too.
We compromised camp/hotel. I like my shower everyday in
that heat. Camper has a shower but it is kind of small and who can
beat clean towels everyday. As it is I came home to 4 garbage bags
of wash because of the linens.

Our Last Day at Disney:

How can it be possible be even hotter today. The rain is not cooling it off like at home it is making it very humid. The weather man said it was 76 degrees in the morning but I beg to differ. I told myself I was not going to run around and take it slower this time. I should have told myself to sleep in. Up early and staying up late it is starting to take it's toll I think we would be dead by now if it wasn't for the afternoon breaks. Any how this morning isn't any different, we know it is the last day and we don't want to waste it. Everyone up ,up ,up, at least that is what Mickey told us to do.

Now this is Saturday morning so we think the parks will be busier. So we ask the kids, "what do you want to do today". Nicholas wants to go to Disney Quest. I bet you know what Hannah is going to say......Magic Kingdom. So we part again. The guys get out of the room before us this time. Now that is a first. We will meet for lunch. Hannah what are you wearing today? The Belle dress for the second day or third I have last track. Okay dressed, hair in a bun crown on head away we go.

Okay now this is were the magic came in on our last day.We get to the bus stop and the bus just pulls in , yeah we didn't miss it. So we go up to the bus with a whole lot of others that have been waiting. Now we never go ahead of others that have been waiting even if we are by the door. But the bus driver comes out.....Hector is his name. He says wait folks and comes over to Hannah and asked where she is going. She shyly says Magic Kingdom. He offers her his arm and takes her on the bus. He now says to her she can have any seat she wants. Boy she is beaming. The bus was empty. She sits near the front. He asked Hannah what her name is. Then he says he is honoured to have her on the bus. Everyone else gets on and we start going. Well then he gets on the intercom and says that we are honoured today to have Princess Hannah on the bus this morning and he asked them to give her a hand. Well they all clap for her. Now that is Magic..... Everyone is smiling.

And where does she want to go first. Toon Town of course. So we hop on the train to take us there. Did I mention that it is really, really hot today. So off we go to see what, the Princesses of course. We just walk into the tent and Hannah sees that Sleeping Beauty is there and starts running. She is so happy. The day is going perfect for her. Then all of a sudden she stops, and looks down at her dress. She is not wearing Sleeping Beauty. I don't want her to cry and ruin her great day so I say we will go in and see them and come back later with the other dress on. All is right in the world again. The line went pretty fast and indeed Sleeping Beauty is there. I tell her that she was worried about her dress and Beauty tells her we all have different dresses and that hers is beautiful and talks to her a bit.

Now when we come out what next. The Tea Cups. They reopened a few days ago so now we can ride. Grandma even does. Another first for her. I told her it was tame. Wouldn't want to go on with Nicholas because he spins you like crazy. Now this ride always makes me think that Hannah is going to be sick because when Nicholas spins her she is pinned to the back of the tea cup and looks pretty dizzy ,eyes rolling thing. But laughing never the less. Hannah can't spin much so we are safe. After this ride it is almost to hot so we decide that we will go back and change dresses. I got her BBB studio pics done in the red dress so I thought we would go meet the guys at Downtown Disney and get the Sleeping Beauty ones done. And as you have seen they turned out great. They are my favourite. So remember you don't have to do the boutique to get them done. If they are dressed up, maybe even if they are not it is a Photopass thing and they will do some candid shots. They only have the one background but they have the couch and some pillar things.

By now the clouds are rolling in again. We just get into guest services in time. Now we do have dollar store poncho things. They remind me of drycleaner bags but are yellow by the way. So we don't get wet. Now this happens everyday so we are prepared by now.We get the pictures done and look at them and all that I have on the pass. The photopass person say I can buy the disc. at any of the parks and since we are not done yet I wait. You can also purchase the disc. on line when you get home and they will ship it.

So we call the guys and say we are there and to meet us at Earl of Sandwich for lunch. Now because of the rain and it is lunch time this place is crazy. We grab a seat and I let Grandma go get her and Hannah's lunch because it will take awhile. Now we are on the dining plan. This is the only place we found that is really strict on what you can have. Sandwich , fountian drink brownie or cupcake. That is it, Hannah wanted gatorade but they wouldn't let her but she could have milk,no chips either. The sandwiches here are so good. So I just sit down with my meal and the guys get there. It is a hike because Disney Quest is on the other side. It also has stopped raining. And there isn't any line ups anymore. So they get theirs and join us. They say that they didn't get to do much because it is very busy there. I think it is the weather and it is Saturday. When we finish we go look to see if we can find Nicholas a Baseball shirt he wanted ,but didn't find it. They have the hockey jerseys out now so the sizes on the baseball shirts were limited. He is a big boy so XL was snug. This is the 9 year old that's new school shoes are 91/2 mens. We did buy Car p.j.'s for a nephew's birthday in a few weeks. So we went back by boat to drop off our stuff. And again it was threating rain and just started when we got off the bus. Good thing are room wasn't far.

So the kids play with the Potatoe head and we dry off and relax a little. Now it is really raining and blowing like it was when we were at Whispering
Canyon.

Well the rain finally stops or we thought and we head out to the kids favourite park...You got it Magic Kingdom. I did promise Hannah we would go back to see the princess in the right dress. I just hoped it was still Sleeping Beauty, Cinderalla and Snow White. We take our ponchos which are still pretty wet. We are not the only ones waiting at the bus stop. Were not afraid of a little rain. Or were we. We get to Magic Kingdom and the sky opens up, heavy, heavy rain. It is a good thing all these bus stops have shelter because we needed it. We saw alot of really wet people with out rain stuff on. Now these poncho's of ours like I said were pretty thin. With this heat they really stuck to you. I was eyeing the ones with Mickey on the back. They looked like they had thicker plastic. Hubby told us to wait and he would go in and go get us some. Gotta love him. He got back pretty fast too. After paying a small fortune we are on our way. The rain slows but does not stop for awhile. Now because of the rain and lightning the train doesnt' run. So we head over to the Princesses and the guys head over to the Pirates.

Well the rain stop you will have to come back to see...

:thumbsup2 ..most excellent points...[i'm saving the last day to
enjoyed later..]...

i think some cm are trying too hard & lacking flexiability...yep, we
usually just move on..unless i'm in my playful/torment mood..he,he,
my lil miss either closes her eyes or move on....

ahhh tt not showing your pic?,around the corner, first staging area?
[ i think it was working when we were there last oct..oops..maybe that
was something else my boys broke?] ..every where we caught up with them,
they were breaking the ride..& yes we rode tt right before illlum...& would
been "outta" there prefectly if....they hadn't broken the whole ride..they
had a flat on the track..

princesses should always be "properly dress"! princess: ..yep, i-2, have learnt
how much the disney misers, take us regular folks to the cleaners..but those
wonderful pics..made it worth every penny! see? it was worth giving in &
letting her wear her glown to the disney's ball/parks..my favorite was in front
of the hat..she is working so hard on her princess posing..no wonder the other
guests are in awe! the rainstorm gave the asphalt a mirrow look too..talk
about going with it!..what a magical trip, indeeds!
* it's fun to watch others doing these lil pic taking events...i guess the only
thing missing...where was your queenie outfit??? :teeth:

ahhhhhh... :sad1: no one "thinks" of their mother being a regular person?
i bet it was an awe inspiring moment, sharing the good old days @ the sci fi?
of course there were no ways for you to have known...but after our mother
funeral...my brothers & myself packed up the kids and took them to our
town's local drive in....it even has a name..scioto breeze..& 2 screens..
we turned our pick-ups into minature living rooms... popcorn:: & all! *
thats was the last time we went...just saying..it's a family affair! :grouphug:

we really like our 2002 trip @ the wildness lodge..however, we never ate
at the whispering c..besides there are no ways, to keep our kids quiet! your
rain stories reminded our epcot day then. we drowned lile rats..from head
to tails....& since it christmas time..it was cold!!! we skipped...the candle
show..never did, our room felt so welcome...[dry & warm]. the boys had their
own room & found an aligatoe towel...they did a croc- hunter skit...even the
accent!..it still makes us laugh watching. [ i think people are sadden cos he
was a very happy person...something the world could use more of? ]

ha! that's the prefect pic for your son..being a pirate-pins collector & all!
sure giving it the heave ho? :) and who could tell your kids like water?
:fish: ..someone looks like....... :cloud9: ..in the pool!

fyi..i was well aware that's belle's christmas dress..we have the doll [jordan]
and during mvmcp, we came across belle as we left but i lost the roll on the
way home...but i can imagined, being hot, the struggles for doing the "dressed
up". however, i think alot special disney moments occured when one put
out the xtra efforts.... ;) ..so i don't complained, much anymore..when my
lil miss [both of them] insist on doing certain thingys..& those pics have
become our :tinker: pixiedust:

* fyi..we sorta look at this > :dance3: when the princesses came to our
table..yes even me!

such as my experiences have taught me...to slow down a lil & admired the
disney 's :rose: ,after all, some very caring cm's worked hard setting
them up... :mickeyjum 's magic ...& you never know where it comes from?

..i can see the "debating" now..though the rain had to be a discouragment,
eps..for mgm..even if it was ruint...what better place for lil princess: to
be in their full regal-ness?..it's always make me :) seeing them..plus i feel
we're not sticking out..too much. your pics reminded me of our first crt..
in full costumes....she was :Pinkbounc with excitment and others recognizing
what going on...causing a more electric atmosphere...me> yep! i did that!
:smokin:, but seeing all the lil princess: at the parks will always be a part of
walt's legacy . [ that's makes wdw disney!]

ha! your story makin me sentimental...i'm glad you shared them..

:wizard: ..and i get the honor to turn your page [he,he]

p.s..can you tell i 'm happy we got the pool put up? :bounce:

Lil'G --- glad you are enjoying my trip report. It is a little scattered but I think I got everything so far. Good thing you got that pool closed up. Wouldn't want you in the dog house before your trip....I will try to finish it up and then I am sure it will go to page two but that is okay. I am proud that I even got this far. Even learned to post pics. Maybe to many eh.

And of course I have to have a picture of Mickey and Nicholas:

DisneyPhotoImage131.jpg

So we are in the park, it is raining still........

We are off to the Princess tent. We get there and yes Sleeping Beauty is there. My princess is so happy but I look at the line in which is half way down the wall just as you come in the door. I knew this was going to be a long wait. We take off our new rain ponchos, which by the way are still hot and cling to you but the best part about these.....you can open the sides so you are not as hot. I tell Grandma she better go sit over where were come out because it will be a long wait. No she decides to go out in the rain and smoke. When she comes back we only move maybe two feet up the line. My guess was 45 minutes to get to the front and I was right. We pass the time by talking to the family next to us. They have two little girls that looked like twins but were not. They had the same dresses on. I will remember them because for some reason I have them on my Photo Pass. I knew we didn't have the wrong cards because it is only Sleeping Beauty I have of them and she was the first princess. I would have been really upset if I had lost all my pictures and got the wrong card so be careful.

Grandma gets a bag for our wet ponchos, actually they weren't to wet anymore so I think that is what she sent her time doing while waiting. It was only drizzling when we left the tent. Not until we did a tour of the store again.
Next we head to Dumbo. It is still running. The CM is just cleans of the ear and away we go. We sit on our poncho so we don't get a wet butt. Now the rain didn't bother us actually we laughed more because of it. Then we had to do the carousel. These are all pretty well walk on, guess it was the rain. We get on and I decide to ride a horse next to her. Easy to get on because it was down and hers was up. Well when we stopped I was up high. That is a long way down. I tried to do it fast and banged my shin on the tail, not a good thing. But you got to go with the flow so I shook it off and and we were off again.

Now we had ADR'S at Liberty Tavern so we ahead that way to find the guys. I know they did Space Mountian and the Pirates but not sure what else. They said they bought something in the Pirtates store but wouldn't tell me what it was and we would pick it up on the way out. Bye now it had stopped raining. Yeah.....The ponchos had there purpose and now we have a souvenirs.

We are headed to the Tavern and Grandma says wait I have something stuck to my shoe. What is it you say, a ten dollar bill. Now Grandma has been picking up loose change the whole time we are there. I told her she must walk with her head down to find so much. She will not walk by even a penny. My kids are the same way. Pennies add up too. Grandma always has a lucky strike. Now she just needs to win a big lottery.

So we never ate at this place before. They only have like a family style meal. No one will go hungry that is for sure. I it is like a Thanksgiving meal only you get three kinds of meat.We got to see all the charaters at least twice. A couple beside us asked me if I could take a picture for them. I took a few. They said they felt bad because they were interupting my meal. I told them wait until they have kids then you know what interupting a meal is, I don't think I sat for a whole meal since I had the kids. Even in a restaurant they always need to go to the bathroom. Anyway, this is a place we will eat at again.

Now we 8:20 reservations so when we got out people were lined up for the parade. Five minutes later we see it. Had now problem having a front row spot either we were surprised. Funny now we have seen two parades on this trip. This one was nice though. All the lights. The Big Bad Wolf and Ursuala scared Hannah but the rest was thumbs up. The peacock was my favourite all lite up. After the parade we head towards the front of the castle to scout out a place for Wishes. In January we made the mistake of being behind the castle. Then reading these boards and hearing about Tinkerbell I knew we needed to be in front. We find a good spot to sit/stand by the bridge or just after. I tell them to stay there because I want to get my pics on a disc. Didn't want to do it from home.

So I go and of course everyone else is looking at their pics too. So I wait , and wait. I am afraid I am going to miss Wishes when they open more booths.I tell the lady I don't want to see them just put them all on the disc. She then see that I have 147 pics. She is impressed and tells the guy next to her. So they put it on the disc. and she looks at some of the pics to make sure that they are there. I can't believe I got that many pics.for $99.00, I also own the copyright now so I can get enlargements of them with no problem. Now I hear the begining of Wishes.

I missed Tinkerbell again. I thought it would be hard to get back to the family but it wasn't. Hannah is sitting on a garbage bin, Grandma is sitting on the curb in front of the bin and Nicholas is not to far but in the middle of the road. Now this is a Magical moment for me. We watch the fireworks and I watch my family. Hubby is holding me , he is holding Hannah . I watch Nicholas face light up at every blast. I think to myself how lucky we are to be here at this very moment. I can feel the tears coming, I am so happy. And to share this with my Mom what more could I ask for .I can picture it now writing this and have the same feelings. Pure Magic.

After Wishes we don't want to leave. We linger around a bit while everyone else is moving out of the park. We have to go pick up this mystery package of Nicholas's.Nicholas and hubby go get the package and will meet them there. Of course we have to stroll though the stores one more time and stop to go to the restroom. We figure it is going to take them awhile. So we sit on the bench people watching. After a few minutes I tell them I will check on the other two. They are sitting on the other side waiting for us. That was funny. Guess we just didn't want to leave. Nicholas mystery box was big. It was The Black Pearl Ship. Cost a bundle. They thought we couldn't get it at home and Hannah got her dress. Side here. We went to Toys R Us this morning at home and saw the same boat for $20.00 cheaper..ouch. Anyway everyone was happy and we head out. Some CM's are up above waving with there Mickey hands and saying goodnight. Hannah didn't want to wear her crown anymore so I put it on Grandma's head. Funny thing one of the CM's said Goodnight Princess, we thought they were talking to Hannah but then she said no you in the blue shirt. That was funny both Grandma and I laughed together.

So our bus awaits us. Hubby wanted me to tell you that we had to stand alot on the buses which he would rather wait for the next one then to stand.

Off to our nightly swim. This time they went to the big pool. Grandma stayed at the room while I went wandering down to see them. I stopped at the gift shop and lobby. At the bar there was a guy at the piano singing and stuff so I watched him a bit. He was very funny. Then I went and watched the kids swim. They like me to watch them, mom look what I can do. After this full day we are off to bed.

Next up Check out.......

Hannah and her morning friend, Hey JoJo what did we learn today.....

DisneyPhotoImage90.jpg

Goregous dress and little girl Nab! I've never seen a red Belle dress.

Love the pictures..your kids are adorable..I love the pool shots!

Yak--Yes I know it can never be to hot. Think snow.....

Minnie-- We got that a lot at the park. Even though we bought it there. It is Belle's Christmas dress I think. That's the one she wanted. People only know when they looked at the crown or heart on the dress. Maybe she should she wear it in our Christmas photos.

Thanks guys for reading. It's good to have cyber friends.

I am of the thinking that you can't take too many pictures, especially when you are tking pictures of the kids. So fire away if you wanna post more!
I saw your note about "rain=bad hair" Oh I so relate to that. I have kinky fuzzy hair & I keep it straight but its hopeless in WDW. I gave up & just let it go it's own way & tried not to be in too many pictures! :rotfl2:

Hey Nab ~
question for you. The Bibbidi Bobbidi picture thing. Did you make an appointment for later in the week? Or, if you only did pictures, did you have to make an appointment for that? I just notice that Hannah has BBB pics with BOTH the Aurora AND the Belle dress, and didn't you buy the Belle dress AFTER the reported trip to DTD?

Just curious about getting the photos taken without getting the "do" and what the procedure is.

Still enjoying the report!

Amy---I couldn't get an appointment they were booked up for the whole week. You have to make any appointment at 407-WDW-Style it says on the flyer.

We bought Hannah the Belle dress first. Maybe I got my days mixed up, well not maybe likely....Anyway she was wearing the dress and a woman on the bus told me I could get the pictures taken anyway. I did her hair and had the dress so when we went to DTD and to guest services the studio is right inside the door. You don't have to go to the BBB. The candid pics are done by PhotoPass people just use your card or get one from them. Now they sent the BBB people there to get the pics done after the salon. NO appointment for the pics I just walked in.....

At the salon they put alot of makeup on too. And alot of glitter in the hair. Some styles are pretty wild too. There is a thread on here that about a BBB experince. They have Pop Princess where they put coloured hair extention things in your hair, they have Disney Diva which looks wild too but your own hair I think then the one I think you would like is Fairy-tale princess, which is like your hair pulled back or put in a bun with a little tiara in the front.

Then on the last day I took her again and she got Sleeping Beauty done. I think they take like 10 different shots if not more.

I wonder if they would have to be dressed like princesses for the pictures that they take at guest services? Any idea? I would love to take my girls in their cute matching outfits I am making for them. Maybe even have my dh and I get in one or two. Might be an easy way to get some family pics!
