Where Should You Start Your Day?

I'll be at the DLR in September, and I'm starting to work on my attraction plan. Where do you all recommend starting your day lately? I plan on being there for rope drop. I see conflicting opinions on heading straight for Indiana Jones / Pirates / Haunted Mansion, or starting in Fantasyland and knocking all of those out. In DCA I'm leaning towards going straight to RSR. Thoughts?

At Disneyland, there are three main big groups at rope drop for Adventureland (Indiana Jones), Fantasyland (Peter Pan) or Tomorrowland (Space Mountain). Try to get as close to the rope drop, of whichever of those 3 attractions you want to hit first, as you can. As an example, we were 4th row from the front at Adventureland and when the rope drop occurred, we didn't run but walked quickly and got into the Indiana Jones que at 8:03am, left the exit at 8:18am, so it took us 15 minutes. When we left the exit, the line wait time already ballooned up to 50 minutes!!! At the same time, if we were first row in front of Adventureland and ran to Indiana Jones, like a ton of other people did (be prepared for a lot of people pushing, I had my family hold tightly to my backpack so we wouldn't get separated) I'm sure we would have gone on as a walk-on.

At DCA, get there really early. You want to be as close as possible to the first people in front of rope drop for RSR. If you're in the middle or towards the back, there is a huge bottle neck near the entrance. FYI, if your group doesn't mind Single Rider line, it's almost a walk on for the first 30 minutes or so. If you arrive later, I'd go to Guardians of the Galaxy but goal is to be at GRR before 10am where the line balloons on hot days. (Same for Splash Mountain at Disneyland, the lines really balloon up after 10am if you wait too much longer to ride it)

Here is the thing about rope drop. You want volume. You want quick rides you can get on and off and on again in a short period of time. Therefore fantasy land I think is best, then hit thunder on the way down to adventure.
