Let me just say I don’t need a thick skin. I am not sitting here crying about it all. I am just not going to take the time and effort if I have to deal with the messages left here and the emails I get that are to harsh to even post here. I did not do this to throw a fit and be upset about it. I just said enough was enough and decided I needed to move on. Also I have been dealing with these nasty emails for a while now so I don’t just react to things that easily even if it seems like I did.

Steve, Let me assume you are right. Is it not worth it for all the joy you bring to people?

You get to decide how to spend your free time, and I cant make up for all the "bad apples" but I do want to say, I'm sorry, you dont know what a loss this is to so many that do NOT write their praises and thanks...

Why is it in this world the nasties get their vote, their way? Why is it the joy is sucked out? Why is it those "squeaky" wheels get that "oil"

What everyone needs to remember is that this is a trip planning site, and the purpose is to share information about resorts so that we can make decisions about where we want to stay at WDW.

This is not a place to bash others for their opinions, or to get into competitions about whose favorite resort is "the best". No one should need thick skin to post here, and no one should fear sarcasm or criticism based on their reports about their experiences. (I know I'm preaching to the choir here. )

A place to share information in a friendly and respectful way is the reason this entire forum exists. That a poster who has spent a great deal of time and effort to assemble and share a wealth of information about a resort has received enough negative feedback to make him regret making that effort is deplorable, and makes me very sad.

Please, if you notice a post on any thread that is attacking, sarcastic, attempting to derail a topic or otherwise not in keeping with the spirit of this forum, we'd appreciate you clicking the

icon and reporting that post to our moderators so that we can deal with the problem before it gets out of hand.

We have a terrific group of posters who have a wealth of great information to share to help all of us plan magical trips. I don't think anyone here wants to let a few negative and argumentative voices poison the magic that we share here.

Help us keep the magic alive.

I am appalled that people can take such a fun and useful place like the DIS or any other site and then get nasty on other people. It's really sad and shameful. I come to the DIS to get away from that. I cannot believe that people can be so cruel and send nasty emails to people they don't know just because they don't agree with them!

Steve, thank you for all the time and effort you put into your site and answering peoples' questions here. I respect your decision, and had I been in your place I wouldn't doubt that I would do the same. I would say that for every nasty comment you've gotten, you have touched twice as many by providing them a wealth of information on the Poly. Aloha to you! I really hope to see you around the boards when it's all boiled over...

I think there's some confusion about Tikiman's Poly site (which is still showing the retirement screen for me) and the Disney Echo forum site (where Tikiman is a co-moderator). Skiwee1 is referring to the Disney Echo site's postings.

I go to Tikiman webpage just fine. From there he has a link to DisneyEcho. I get to everything just fine. I even went into his website and looked at all the resort pics and info. No sign at all of Retired when I go there.

Steve. Please do not take anything personnel from what I said, but it bothers me that because of idiot postings, you may or may not decide to come back. I'm sure walt took crap with things to. Best of luck and I hope to see your site get bigger and better ( if at all possible!!) in the fure. Thanks for always being nice steve.
