Where is Starbucks?

Is it in the Swan or Dolphin. We are trying to plan our morning rituals.

OMG -- There's a Starbucks on property???? Please tell me it is so. Although I prefer Dunkin Donuts (being from the Northeast) I'd give anything not to have to drink Nescafe, is it?

My understanding is that the only way to get a cup of Starbucks coffee on-site is to bring your own as many of us do. I bring the grounds from home and DH uses the coffee maker in the room to make some in the morning.

I do believe that either The Swan or Dolphin (don't know which) offers Kona coffee. That may be what you are looking for.

They serve Starbucks coffee at Tubbis which is located in the Dolphin. If you are expecting it to taste like the coffee you get at Starbucks, you are going to be disappointed.

Well, maybe the Starbuck's at Tubbi's isn't quite as good as at your local Starbuck's, because it's coming out of a big coffee machine...but it's still LOTS better than almost any brew at a Disney-owned hotel (exception: Polynesian Kona Cafe where they serve Kona coffee).


By the way, ALL the sit-down restaurants in both the Dolphin and the Swan serve Starbuck's too.

I agree. It's so much better than the other hotels. We stayed at WL and made many trips to D/S (Not that it's a hardship. Beautiful area)

Katallo- When were you last at WL? We were there last August and in Roaring Forks they had both the yucky Nescafe syrup stuff and also a 100% Colombian brew machine...much better. Do you (or does anyone else) know if that machine disappeared and they are back to just Nescafe?

My DH and I were at the WL in January and they had brewed coffee then. He's the coffee drinker, not me, but he doesn't like the Nescafe stuff either! We go to the CR often times to get him a Mocha latte because he likes those from Starbucks The Kona Cafe at the Poly has really good coffee as well! If there is a Starbucks on property my DH will be thrilled! Otherwise, it's those two options I mentioned or he brews Starbucks in our room with pre-measured packets from the Starbucks store. Hope that helps!

The Swan has Starbucks at the little bar in the lobby, as well as at the Dolphin's Tubbi. If you plan to go everyday, you might want to get the refillable mug. The Contemporary also has a coffee counter in its lobby that serves good coffee (not for refillable mugs). It is open from 6 a.m. until late in the evening.

Okay, so what kind of coffee will I get every morning at the food court in POP? Do they have coffee machines in the rooms at POP so I could make my own? From what I'm reading these are not real Starbucks shops, correct? Just coffee shops that serve Starbucks? Not the same to me. If a REAL Starbucks shows up on property, someone let us know, PLEASE!!

Carol, when I was there in December, they didn't have coffee makers in the rooms at POP. I bought a $10 electric tea pot at my local grocery store and heated my tea water up in that. When I used to drink coffee, I would take the Folgers coffee bags that look like tea bags and a big coffee mug with me. This always worked for me.

Ok, as a frequent visitor and coffee addict, I'll list what I know, and others can chime in:

-At Swan and Dolphin, Starbuck's is served everywhere...NO Nescafe.

-At (all...I think) Disney-owned Deluxe Resorts, 100% Colombian is an option (along with the Nescafe syrup stuff) at the quick-fill-your-mug locations.

-At Poly, the Kona Cafe coffee bar and the retaurant itself have Kona coffee as an option.

-At AKL, there is apparently a coffee place serving an African coffee, and they also serve it as an option in their restaurants (I think).

- AT CR, there is a coffee bar in the lobby serving something good (see previous post)

-There's a coffee bar in one of the areas between Pavilions in World Showcase (east side) that serves good stuff. I'm not sure about good coffee options at any other Theme Park...except at sit down restaurants...see below)

-At most (maybe all?) sit-down restaurants throughout the World, the coffee you get is definitely better than the Nescafe that exudes from the coffee machines in the food courts...my guess is it's a 100% Colombian brand.

As far as food courts at the Value Resorts (including POP), it's only the Nescafe syrup for sure, and I'm 95% sure that's all you can get at all the Moderate Resort food courts also (PLEASE somebody let me know if there is anything good available at POR...you'd think they'd have some chicory coffee available at least!).

I hope I've missed something!
