Does anyone know where you have to go to for the babyswap at Space Mountain and Rock-N-Roller Coaster? Please let me know if you have the answer as to where these 2 swap.

I was thinking that while one parent child ride/ the other can ride something close but the timing will only work if the other parent doesn't have to wait all the way through the queue.

If you have done this recently on either of these attractions, please share.

When you use Baby swap at either of these two attractions, you go to the CM standing at the start of the line and tell them you are doing a swap. He will then give you a swap ticket (kind of like a fastpass). Then, your party members either get into the standby line or if they have fastpasses in that line. The person waiting with the baby/child can go off and do other things, there is no set place to wait. Then, when your party gets off the ride, one of them waits with the baby/child while the others go back through the fast pass line with the child swap ticket.

Since you get a ticket, you can come back and ride the attraction at anytime. I know know on Test Track, we did the swap, and I went to the baby care center to feed the baby while they rode. IT was then lunch time, so we went to our ADR and did some other stuff. ON our way out, I stopped by Test Track for my turn, but it was shut down. So, we saved the ticket and I rode a few days later when we were back in Epcot.

The only time the swap does not work like this is during the last hour of park opening (at least on ToT). Since there were no more fast passes that line was closed, so you waited right at the ride exit and then they took you through a back elevator to the loading area.

If your non-riding child is tall enough for the ride, but just doesn't want to ride, here's what they've had us do:

We usually enter with fastpasses (4 for the 4 of us). We tell the cm at the loading area that we have one who will not be riding. Dh or I take the non-rider to the exit area (we follow a ramp behind the line) and wait there for the other two to come off of the ride. Then the non-rider waits with the other parent while the riding child rides again with the parent who hasn't ridden.

This works best during slow times or with fast passes. I don't know if I'd do it this way if we had to wait in line very long, but this way the other child can see the inside of the ride, too.

When this non-riding child was younger (and shorter) we did it this way:

Get a fastpass for everyone in the group. Parent1 rides with rider, while parent2 goes on Buzz or TTA with non-rider. Parents swap kids later for 2nd ride. The rider uses the non-rider's fast past.

I'm really hoping we won't have to do this for many rides any more. My non-riding dd will be 9 on our upcoming trip and I still don't know if she'll be ready for Space Mtn. or RnR. I definitely know she's not going to want to do ToT.

Two rides that are different are Mission:Space, and Star Tours. Maybe now that they have two versions of M"S, it will be different. I chose not to ride it at all last time, so I just waited in the post ride area, which is great for kids.
Star Tours you wait outside the ride vehicle. there are no paper tickets.

Incidentally, Universal's baby swap is mostly like the ST style. There are actual waiting areas for non-riders. I think it's a better system myself.
