Where is a good place in WDW to get engaged at?

Ride Stitch's Great Escape. Then tell her you loved it. See if she will do it again with you. If she says yes, then she's the one. If anyone is willing to endure Stitch for a 2nd time for love is a keeper. (NOTE: Do not do Stitch again. Once is enough. It's just a test of love. :lmao:) Now, find a spot far far away from Stitch.

Best of luck.

I have seen all kinds of proposals in Disney. Some involve characters and Disney helps (not guaranteed), I have seen scavenger hunts for the fiance and he is waiting on his knee with ring in hand to propose, in beautiful areas of EPCOT or Magic Kingdom and even at the G-Flo in the lobby.

A word of caution: if you hope to catch a candid moment on film, don't do it in a crowded area of the park (which is admittedly pretty much everywhere), no matter how romantic the setting!

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: At first I thought the guy in the blue shirt was really short and he was grabbing the man in the white shirt (seeing the look in his face) - I thought this was an altercation picture at first.

I love that proposal photobomb guy. That pic never gets old.

I wonder what the OP ended up deciding to do? Since this thread came back to life, now I want to know!

My brother proposed last summer in the Rose Garden. Is that still available these days??

That's hilarious. :rotfl2: I did not even catch the OP date. :thumbsup2

My son proposed to his girlfriend on the Illuminations cruise during the fireworks... :)

My fiancé proposed last March in the Magic Kingdom Rose Garden, however I'm not sure if it is still there with the Hub Expansion, but it was great! We also received "Just Engaged" buttons from the PP photographer stationed there. A CM told us it was one of the few locations that the photographers had the buttons, but it saved us a trip to Town Hall!

I have heard of many people who arranged to have a character involved in the proposal. It would probably be a good idea to call ahead or email to ask if you can make that happen. Disney sells engagement packages but I'm not sure what they cost.

To my mind, you can't go wrong if you do it in front of her favorite attraction.

By me, any place in Disney World is a good place for a proposal! In 1984, my future husband proposed to me in the first aid station at the Magic Kingdom! We had gone there because I had blisters on my heels, so I sat on the chair, and he said I'll put the bandaids on for you. So while he was down on one knee putting bandaids on my heels, I suppose it occurred to him that he should let me know he wanted to marry me! I did and still do find it so amuzing, but it makes for a wonderful memory that I cherish. We have been married for 27 years now. We went to Disney World for our honeymoon in 1985, and we stopped in on our last day to the first aid station, and I sat on that chair again and my husband took my picture, so I could have a picture of where my husband proposed to me!:bride:

I love this! Funny, unique, and special!

A difficult but great one would be to propose on a ride just before the point where the picture is taken. Possibly have a sign to hold for the sake of the picture. Also, if there is a possibility of losing the ring, use a cheap ring and give her the real one after the ride. If done right it would be cool to have a ride picture of you offering a ring (and possibly holding a sign that says marry me) and get a good reaction.

My brother proposed to his wife on the boat dock at the Floridian. He is a park commando, and had dragged his gf all over the place that day, causing her (who is not a commando) to get very cranky. Plus, they were running late to get to their reservations at the Floridian. They were at the MK, and he told her that they should take the boat to the Floridian, and she got cranky because she thought the monorail was faster. Thankfully, he persuaded her to take the launch. As soon as they got off, he got down on his knee and asked the question! He said that he was scared that he was going to drop the ring in the water!

My brother proposed to his wife at that picture spot where the topiaries are just off Main Street. This had the advantage of having the castle in the background and plenty of photopass pictures of the event. She thought they were just getting their photo made. He had one of those big glass slippers made at the glass shop and it was engraved with "Ashley, will you marry me?" with the ring attached to the slipper, got down on one knee and presented it to her. It was pretty awesome. And had the benefit of being TOTALLY MY IDEA. Because for once, my little brother actually listened to me.

This week we saw a couple stop for a PP, and as he was taking the pictures the guy went down on his knee and proposed. They probably ended up with great pictures, the photographer did an impromptu engagement shoot with them! If she has a favorite park, you could do that with the signature background for that park.

There is a little bridge in Epcot, near France I believe, and its pretty and romantic, would make a nice spot.

My ideal proposal (and DH missed the memo on this) would have been during "can you feel he love tonight" in the Lion King show. I would have loved if he had just quietly gotten down on a knee and held up a ring during that.

We also love the Boardwalk area, I'm surprised DH didn't propose at Jellyrolls with help from the performers - easy enough to write them a note and do it there, as long as neither of you is shy!
