Where is a good place in WDW to get engaged at?

I plan on popping the question when my gf and I head there in mid Oct. Besides Cinderella's castle/royal table(already have ADRs), are there other romantic spots or other good ideas? TIA!
I see some suggested the Coral Reef, but I am not sure they still do the diver sign as it became requested at a level and rate they may have stopped this once innocent and infrequent offering. You might research the Epcot Food and Wine Festival and see if anything in it typical offering could provide a special meaning-setting based upon you experiences together.

Correct they don't do the diver thing any more.

At the Rose garden next to the castle! :) Or by the wishing well next to the castle :) GL! :lovestruc

I did this last year and highly recommend it. I had a note attached to my photo pass card and handed it to the photo pass photographer so she knew ahead of time. She was able to take some really good shots since she had a little bit of notice.

Having the photographer there was great because my fiance loves to show the pictures to people and brag about where she was proposed to at.

I have heard that Cinderella's stepsisters are beside themselves if someone "proposes" to them. You could go to a character meet and wait until DF is next to one of the sisters...then pull out the ring. I'm sure they would get all in a tizzy. You could even tell DF that you got a fake ring because you heard how they react...kind of get her in "on the joke." Then turn to her with the ring...:lovestruc:lovestruc

Its not as romantic, but would be very fun and memorable. Just depends on what you think she will want and what kind of couple you are.

I don't know that photopass photographers are typically with the stepsisters (they weren't when we saw them last) but you might be able to wrangle one up with some help.

Cinderella's Royal Table worked for me!

My husband proposed to me at Victoria and Alberts. It was romantic, we love food, a huge surprise to me! They serve many courses with your own butler. The dessert course came out in a small silver platter and when the butler lifted the cover there was the ring of my dreams...

My husband proposed to me at Victoria and Albert's. It was one of my best memories ever.

My husband proposed in Italy after dinner at Alfredo's (my favorite that unfortunately isn't there anymore - Tutto Italia now). The waiter brought out a special dessert with "Life began when I fell in love with you" written in chocolate around the plate. When I looked up, he was down on one knee with ring in hand. Lots of applause from diners at the restaurant. :-) we had priority seating for Illuminations and they gave us a Mickey and Minnie snow globe souvenir. Absolutely perfect IMO. The song we danced to at our wedding was "Promise" the song at the end of Illuminations and our reception tables were named after classic animated Disney movies. :-)

My DH proposed to me under Cinderella's castle. There used to be a bench where there is now Stroller parking for CRT there is a mosaic of the glass slipper scene. He had me sit on the bench and then got down on one knee told me the story of Cinderella then proposed. We then ate at CRT. Good luck. We are planning to renew our vows in two years for our 20th.

I have always wanted to be proposed to on the deck of Narcosee's (probably spelt that wrong) during Wishes. I think its the most romantic spot in the place :)

Just know that if you go with the CRT idea, there may be, Ummmm, less than ideal wee ones about. I laugh when I look at the pics we have of our dinner there with our 3 little ones. The table next to us was the couple getting engaged with the glass slipper and all. I think my kids might be in every photo they took once they realized what was going on!

The best proposal I witnessed was at the Hub where the guy and gal were getting photos taken by a Photopass photog and guy got down on his knee to propose. Aw, it was great!

I proposed to my wife at CRT. We had window seats during the fireworks. I had called ahead and had a glass slipped engraved with the date on it and the restaurant was going to deliver it for us.

Right after the fireworks were over the lights came up and the whole staff was standing beside our table (we didn't notice them because we were watching the fireworks). The whole place was quiet as everyone was wondering what was going on.

The waiter had a silver platter with a wrapped box and other stuff on it. He said, "A gift from your prince..." and had her take the box (the slipper). While she was opening the box I got the ring out and, when she looked up I asked her. Thankfully, she said yes. We got a standing ovation from everyone there. It was pretty awesome....if I do say so myself. :)

This was a Friday, it was the 13th, it was a full moon and it was an E-ticket night (remember those???). Was awesome because we had (essentially) the park to ourselves afterwards.

But I like the ToT idea, too!

*sobs* How romantic

I saw a video on youtube of this guy plan a scavenger hunt for his gf around the Magic Kingdom and get a friend and cast members involved, then at the end they ended up in front of the castle during the move it, shake it, celebrate. When they said something about what are you celebrating he dropped to his knee, its cute.

So many good ideas here. Thank you every one.

I didn't even think about the chances of kids running around with CRT. Although I don't believe that'd be an issue for us. We're going there on a Thursday and at 5:30 I believe. So I doubt kids would be too much of an issue.

I didn't think this would really be THIS hard, and it's still 2.5 months away. I'll be lucky if I can even wait that long.

ummm....ANYWHERE LOL!

No, really, my first thought (aside from the castle) was on the beaches near the MK resorts during wishes.

This is where my proposal was and it was perfect. It was private and romantic. DH planned it well. He asked right before wishes started and as soon as I said yes, the fireworks started :)

This is our proposal story that was featured on this wedding website. Hope this helps! Good luck and congratulations!!

There's always the portcullis at the front of the castle...

Or you could do it in a private spot on Tom Sawyer's Island...

While riding the Carrousel...

In the middle of the stretching room at HM...

On the Jungle Cruise, as you pass by the Back Side of Water...

I asked my wife to marry me at Port Orleans Riverside. I waited till dark when the walk ways are lit up, we went for a Sassagoula River walk and I asked under one of the walk way lights. Oh!, and Make sure you buy a Bottle of Champagne to celebrate. Keep the Cork from that bottle, wrap a small red ribbon around it, pop a hook on it and keep it as a Christmas ornament. Its been our favorite tree decoration since my sister in law gave it to us as a surprise Christmas gift.
