It is about an hour due east. It is just south of the Kennedy Space Center.

That's not too far. Next time we go I would like to go to the beach for a few days. I love the gulf coast beaches. I used to go to Clearwater Beach a lot growing up.

Is it one of the topiaries of the Fantasia brooms?

Cocoa Beach...a little over an hour depending on the traffic. Lots of good memories at Cocoa Beach and the BEST seafood restaurant EVER.

What a nice picture of you and your girls. Your girls are so healthy looking! But why are you all dressed in black?

...black with a green jacket. That's my favorite "flying outfit"...it's SO comfortable and I can wear easy to remove black slip-on shoes! We landed in Orlando, rented a van and headed for the Boardwalk. Our rooms weren't ready so we decided to make the rest of the day our "beach day" instead of taking another day away from the parks. DD and her family had been there 4 days already and DGD's needed a break from the parks. ME hadn't delivered our luggage yet and poor planning on MY part meant no change of clothes. DH and youngest DD had packed beach clothes in their carry-ons. So I was stuck in my traveling clothes.

Where on earth is the hannah montana house? I dont remember seeing this or hearing of it before.

Since they change the props, quite possibility it wasn't there when you last visited. After you exit the "boat demonstration" area you walk down the ramp on the left and take a left into the warehouse. This was located between the ramp and the warehouse.

As I was taking a shower , I started thinking about Cocoa Beach and remembered that you drive from NH to WDW. Next trip...give yourself an extra day and get off the "main road". Many years ago, before our daughters entered high school and the "Bank of Mom & Dad" opened, we took a rare 10 day vacation to DW. On one of our "non-Disney" days we drove to St. Augustine (love that historic city ) and then traveled south on Florida State Highway A1A through all the coastal communities. A beautiful drive which ended at Cocoa Beach at sunset and that seafood restuarant...can't remember the name of it, just know it was on the Banana River. You want 'beach"...that drive gives you BEACH!

St Augustine is a very nice town. Many years ago i made a couple of trips up there and you can drive/park on the beach.

"Bank of Mom and Dad" I will have to use that on my DS & DD that the Bank of Dad has run out of funds and closed

That's neat, I don't remember seeing anything there. Then again we got to participate in the show so we literally sprinted to vehicles afterwards. Very cool, my sister would have loved this
