Diane--so my mom told me I was being too picky, and that technically your answer of Richard Petty was right. My picture is from the Walt Disney World Speedway, when my parents gave me the INDY ride-along experience as a surprise for my 18th birthday. It was the best present I ever got. You might have heard me squeal when I opened it in the MK parking lot.

And no, I have no idea who this man is. He was just a jerk and walked into my photo. And as I'd already taken 18,000 others, my parents weren't waiting on me to take another. But I didn't care, I was on cloud 9.

Thanks! It was the best day of my life. 3 laps at 180 mph in a two-seater Indy car. I got out and was bouncing around a hugging everyone in sight. The crew guys looked at the driver (Davey Hamilton, if any of you follow Indycar racing) and were like "I didn't know you gave Mickey Mouse a ride" I took this after the ride. I enjoyed it just a little bit

That's so funny that that man is just some jerk that walked into your picture! I have so many pictures of people like that.

What a great birthday! Looks like they gave you a cool outfit to wear too! I've seen that place as I'm driving into the MK parking lot.

That sounds like a blast. I have not done that yet. I had a friend that grew up with the guys that were running the Nascar ride along deal in Dover Delaware many years ago. Insurance keeps the top speed down but since she grew up with them that trip around was at Nascar race speeds. Best ride she had

That sounds like a blast. I have not done that yet. I had a friend that grew up with the guys that were running the Nascar ride along deal in Dover Delaware many years ago. Insurance keeps the top speed down but since she grew up with them that trip around was at Nascar race speeds. Best ride she had

Normally Indycars can get up to around 230/240 mph. As I was the first one out in the two-seater, we did 2 warm up laps first, and I remember thinking "this is it?" Then we rounded turn 4 and he cranked through the gears....I about peed myself with excitement. I was laughing and screaming and wanted to put my hands in the air (but they told me that was frowned upon). If you get a chance, I would HIGHLY recommend it. It's reasonably priced, and you feel the speed waaayyyy more in an open-wheel car. But I'm also a huge Indy geek, so that added to my excitement. Did I mention my graduate present is going to the Indy 500? :-D

I just realized i tagged the wrong pic. i was thinking of the Tire hat above that BIG grin of you after getting out of the Indy car. I have not umbrella hatted anybody in a while. Diane still lhas not put up a pic of herself yet

Me i wish they still had the Indy car circuit at Disney and or had some other type of sanctioned racing events a the track because i would be working that track for sure.
