Sara and the girls got back from DW today and we talked a little this evening about the Island Tower. The biggest "disappointment/problem", in her opinion, was the distance to the GCH...especially from their room location. It took them
15 minutes...it's a half mile to get to the main area and a few minutes longer to get to the bus stop! The menu at the QS in the Tower did not appeal to either of them so they had most of their hotel meals at the Grand Floridian. It was actually CLOSER to walk there than to the GCH! They had issues getting their ride back to the airport this morning too. The entrance to the Tower can only be accessed with a Magic Band...and ride shares/UBER drivers can't get in! Instead of being picked up at the lobby area of the Tower they had to walk to the front entrance...not "fun" with luggage! The pros...the lounge areas, especially the Observation Deck. They used it Sunday night to watch the fireworks and were actually able to see a launch from Kennedy Space Center while waiting! She said THAT was really cool and Allie LOVED it! Rooms are nice but like I mentioned about Kidani ... LONG hallways, and with their location, it took forever to get there!

Just a few thoughts from her but thought they were interesting; I think I'd much rather stay in the regular rooms!
Yes...holiday display at the MK.
