Just when I was doing okay with Boo being gone we get the sweetest card from the vet and his staff today! On the bright side; Katie finally got her roommate and dorm assignment, Allie signed the contract on her Florida condo and Allie stopped by with her 2 Howard Payne BFF's to visit this afternoon for a few minutes. They were on their way to eat Mexican food in Houston before an outdoor concert at Miller Park. She leaves for New York City for her visit with her high school best friend.

Allie made it safely to NYC; Katie came in 8th overall out of the 29 solo elite entries at the Synergy Dance Nationals in Dallas! Good start to Father's Day weekend!

ONE more competition for Katie ; it is going to be SO strange not to have these to look forward too! At least Sara will still be involved helping Center Stage get organized for them. Hoping she still attends a few so I can tag along. Great way to "pass the time" on hot Texas afternoons. Allie is loving NYC so far; 77 degrees (compared to real feel temperature of 104 here )! They did their morning run in a beautiful park in Brooklyn and planning on a Broadway show this evening. You are not going to believe what my husband has done! He's purchased airline tickets for September to go salmon fishing with a business friend in Alaska!!! He's been thinking about it for 6 months; I finally told him to "just BOOK the damn thing and stop worrying about a decision"! (Hoping to get a solo Disney trip out of the "deal" ) He DID buy a refundable ticket though. In case we have a hurricane prediction; it's in September and that's normally a "popular month" for a Texas hurricane...and Allie is predicting a record year! Keeping fingers crossed for him....
