Just checked Facebook and had a PM from Justin who is still in Ghana. He's with his friend, Umar's (we've met and spent time with him at our holiday gatherings) family. Umar's grandfather is a former ambassador to Cambodia. Very nice, intelligent man and he gifted his smock to Justin. His sister is on the right, then older brother (Umar looks exactly like him!), brother's wife, Justin and Grandpa. They've just about completed their work on the water filtration system and have very grateful villagers. They used to have to collect rainwater for drinking or get their water from a pond. The work of Justin's group will give them clean drinking water for the first time ever.

Yes...we take WAY to much for granted; pretty proud of that group. They're very dedicated...and BRAVE in my opinion with their mission work. He also said he's PRETTY TIRED OF RICE!

Old German "wives tale"..."if it thunders in January we'll have a freeze in April". IT'S GONNA FREEZE IN APRIL if that's true ...we just had one heck of a thunderstorm with thunder that shook the windows as well as a little hail! Guess our 70 degree weather today ( sorry Diane...I'm embarrassed to say that ) met with the cooler air of a cool front and BAM. Wish I'd have felt energized by the nice weather but I'm trying to decide if I want to get a bad cold OR the flu. I worked outside on dismantling decorations but took all afternoon to do what should have taken 2 hours at the most. Felt like the "little engine that could" but that engine gave up early and took a nap. Hope tomorrow is better...

In the meantime...let's give this one a try...don't think I've used IT before.
