The 2nd photo shows her between the laughter and tears. We scored first on a beautiful long run; missed a 2nd TD with an intercepted...and DROPPED pass; after eventual 2nd TD, extra point was blocked; after 3rd TD 2 point try failed; driving for 4th TD for a win and stopped on 4th down...just like they defeated Wimberly last Friday night. Final was 28-26. Those boys played their heart out and had their chance but that's football. Nothing for them to be ashamed of. Did us all proud. Our Superintendent was very gracious in accepting the runner up trophy; Katie...and some of the boys shed a few tears but what a wild week this has been! Katie missed the on field opening....felt faint since SHE HADN'T EATEN AGAIN; Sara got her food and water and she was better by halftime. Bellville was there in full force...couldn't have been many people left in town and there were even supporters from visiting towns that came to support them. Now I have 3 days to finish Christmas prep and get ready for New York City!

Oh that stinks. Sounds like it was a good game.

It was...exciting...and in doubt until the end...almost like a Cowboys/Eagles game! I hated I couldn't get closer to the Dora's seating area but there would have been a lot of walking and "circling around" to get there. Entrance to the private boxes separated our40 yard line area and the corner spot they put the band/dance teams. I did get the few before the stands filled up at the beginning but there was no way to get back in the same area after kickoff. We had to choose between sitting next to them and being in a good spot for halftime photos. Good memories though and yes, it hurts now but they'll soon realize what a special experience they just lived! One they'll be telling their grandchildren about!

They were in another universe, weren't they! Oh my goodness...we finally just stopped watching...trying to get packed anyway and the game certainly wasn't interesting! In their defense, the flu has been going through the team. At least 6 players were either out or questionable for the game....some didn't even make the trip. That certainly could have has something to do with it!
