Congratulations. Katie must be so excited. She’ll have an experience she’ll never forget.

On my goodness we ALL will! I honestly don't care about the final outcome...just the experience will be one to remember...the team we're playing won their game last night like 70+ to 40! BUT...all the press said our game with Wimberly WAS the "cream of the crop" ; both of the teams in our game were undefeated until last night. Again...50/50 chance of being State Champions! LOT of press there last night....

...and most were focused on Wimberly. I grinned to myself more than once after the game remembering two couples in the restaurant during dinner talking about "we (Wimberly) will sure have to stay focused to beat Gilmer in the Championship game next week." Still smiling....

We leave Tuesday morning (the 19th) on a 6 AM flight dropping our luggage at hotel and sightseeing ending that day with the Rockettes. We go non-stop Wednesday and Thursday but have a free morning Friday while the girls get private dance classes. We think we're going to go to a popular Irish Pub for lunch and meet with Allie's high school best friend and her family who will be visiting the "other twin" who goes to school in NYC. Leave for airport at 4 for an 8:30 flight to Houston probably getting home between 1 & 2. I'll have Saturday to finish wrapping Christmas gifts! I keep telling myself "we can do it"...it's the LAST busy week this fall!

We leave Tuesday morning (the 19th) on a 6 AM flight dropping our luggage at hotel and sightseeing ending that day with the Rockettes. We go non-stop Wednesday and Thursday but have a free morning Friday while the girls get private dance classes. Finishing my 2nd batch of mint fudge and baked Sara's favorite cookie...Chocolate Covered Cherry...to add to my "Christmas goodies"...MEANWHILE....KATIE HAS STREP THROAT! Poor thing but Sara got her in to the doctor this afternoon and she's on antibiotics. Told her she was giving her "extra strength" so she could get her well to dance Friday! Flu is CRAZY here...7 of the Dora's were out yesterday and 1 tested positive for flu; Drama Club had a presentation of FROZEN this past weekend and now 6 of the cast members are out with the flu! Hope Coach Rowe has LOCKED UP the football team!

She's MUCH better already! Went to regular dance class this evening. Fudge is SO good but had a mess last night! Learned I can't leave chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk on a stove burner, no matter how "low" the setting is! Had burned chocolate a quarter inch thick stuck to the pan!

Busy, nice, really cool day. First of all, Katie's fever "broke" last night and she's 100% better and ready to dance! Opened the shades when I got up this morning and discovered this in our yard...

Nice surprise since we didn't even enter the judging this year when we didn't have time to get everything out! Took sugar cookies to the Dora's and found out the Director had to have an emergency root canal yesterday! Sara (and 2 of her best friends) were able to make a bus load of BHS students happy! The wife of the head coach contacted Sara from the school office and said they've had about 30 kids express interest in riding one of the two student buses but couldn't afford the price of the football tickets... so those ladies purchased them for them. There will not be many people left in Bellville Friday! Last we heard there was about 9 charter buses that have filled; participating students are occupying 6 charter buses plus the 2 "yellow school buses"; City has rented a van for it's employees; County has a charter bus; 2 other businesses have charter buses and hundreds of us going by car. Win or loose, Bellville will be well represented! Katie's VERY expensive tap shoes that she ordered for her private NYC lesson were delivered to RENO, NEVADA and I FINISHED my Christmas shopping! FUN time of the year!

It was a TERRIBLE mess and all the time I "saved" by trying to "multi-task" was spent on cleanup! I actually thought about throwing the pot in the trash but it's one I use a LOT!

Thanks on the decorations; quite a surprise since we didn't "enter" the contest this year. Sara thinks one of the City Council ladies entered us!
