thanks

What type of meal are you looking for - character dining, counter service, sit-down?

There are lots of options to choose from. Have you visited www.allears.net? On that site they have menus of the different restaurants in all of WDW. It might help you get a better idea of what is being offered.

We love the Liberty Tree. We also like the taco's across from Pirates in Adventure land (can't remember name but you don't need a PS).

For our lunch meal, we always go to Liberty Tree. We make our PS for around 2. The crowd has thinned and it is much less hectic. The food is very good. They have an excellent turkey and dressing. Their burgers are very good, too.

There really are a lot of good choices at MK. I'll just mention some we have enjoyed.

Since you say "book" I assume you don't mean counter service, but counter service may be necessary to get a "reasonable price". If so I suggest Columbia Harbour House, located where Fantasyland and Liberty Square meet. It has surprisingly good food for counter service, and is an alternative to the endless burgers and fries you get at other places. The seating is broken up into smaller separate "rooms", and can be more relaxing than other counter service spots, especially if you sit upstairs.

Cinderella's Royal Table (the castle) is well known for its character breakfast, but is a great spot for lunch. It is no more expensive than most other sit-down places at WDW; when we went there in 2002, we paid well under $50 total for 2 adults and 2 children, less than we spent for any other sitdown lunch! And we got a window table!

Crystal Palace is a fine character buffet with Pooh & Friends. I recommend it, but it has the disadvantage that you'll pay $10 for each of the children, and it can be a little hectic like any character buffet.

Most of the MK restuarants dont appeal to me much (not to mention we like a drink at our sit down meals). So, for a reasonably priced sit down meal, I would consider taking the monorail to Poly for lunch at the Kona Cafe. Its a delicious meal, good price and a nice break from the heat and crowds. :D

If you go with counter service I second the Columbia Harbour House. And I would say you could get in and out of Casey's quickly, even with lots of people in your party.

A lot of people do like the Columbia Harbor House, but Cosmic Ray's also has a good variety for a counter service place. We also like Pecos Bill's.

If you want to book a sit-down lunch, another vote for Liberty Tree Tavern.

Our favorite is LTT, however if your only looking for sandwiches, we love the Plaza Rest. on Main St. This is also sit down.

Cosmic Ray's is where we eat. They have hamburgers, hotdogs and chicken. I split the half of chicken with my ds the last time. He likes the leg and I like the breast, worked out great!:sunny:

And you can't beat Sonny's singing :teeth:

I third Cosmic Ray's. We eat lunch there at least once each trip - I think they make a great burger and the topping bar is awesome!
Three of us eat a full lunch for <$25, which you really can't beat at WDW in my opinion.

If you'd like a little break from the MK for lunch, you can always take the boat to Fort Wilderness and eat at the Trails End Buffet. We always eat a big breakfast there on our MK day and skip lunch, but I hear that their lunch buffet is awesome too. The Trails End is one of the best kept secrets and an unbeatable value in Disney.

The atmosphere at FW is worth the boat ride over....it's very peaceful and a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the park.

Have a great trip!

We love the chicken wraps at Peco Bill's. BUT my girls LOVED
the chicken strips everywhere. The honey mustard sauce is really good. Only problem is, it's Ken's brand and I can't find it anywhere in my hometown. Honestly, we didn't have a bad meal the entire time we were in Orlando. PERIOD. Not at Disney, not at Sea World or Universal. All was really good.

Just got back today...........missing it already!!

Lunch at the MK - We ate at Cosmic Rays, Columbia Harbor House and dinner at Liberty Tree....All I would highly recommend.....

First time at Columbia Harbor House and there sandwiches were fresh and GREAT tasting.

Hope this helps.
