Meaning cost wise, value, mod or Deluxe? Friends stayed there and continue to rave about it. I dont have any info about it. Thanks

I am not sure it has a rating like the hotels do but If you are a regular camper. Compared to the normal campgrounds even the really nice ones. I consider it Deluxe. It is the nicest campground that we have ever been. My family owns a campground in NY it is just a little family campground. It is very nice but compared to the Fort we are itsy bitsy!!!

Disney calls it a home away from home resort. The campsites are in the value range and the cabins are in the deluxe price range.

Well if you are looking for the cost of a site at Fort Wilderness the prices can vary dramatically. The season and type of site are all factors also if you would want a pet loop or cable tv come into play. I suggest you go to disney web site and check out the prices there. They only are available on-line up until the end 2007 I think. Disney has seasons like value, peak & holiday. I would have to say the average price is about the same or lower than a value resort. But, at a value resort you can't have a dog or cook in your camper/motorhome... Lots of factors come in to play. I paid during peak time in Feb of 2007 (pres. wk) $85 a night plus tax I think thats the same or close to a

Friends stayed in a cabin I think. Thast a deluxe? wow, no clue. I'll have to ask her again. But she kept saying campground but I know she had a cabin. confusing, I say

Yes the cabins are in the deluxe price range category along the lines of Contemporary and Board Walk Inn etc.

Cabins would be considered a Deluxe rate..I'm not sure that I think they are worth that. While they are quite lovely..paying near or over $300.00 a night for them..to me..and this is just my opinion is crazy. Only because they are not located near the MANY amenities that the campground offers. They are in loops all to themselves. I found the location the biggest draw back when we stayed in them many years ago. For the kind of money they are charging for them..you are not getting the amenities that the other deluxe resorts have. The themed pool..the room service that sort of thing. They are very nice...and I love the campground. That being said, some people I know have stayed in them..not really aware that they are staying in a campground. As Disney groups them in with the "home away from home" resorts, which are Deluxe accomodations in the DVC's. If someone is not familiar with FW..they can be quite surprised by this. I really think they should price them more the rate of a Moderate resort for this reason. Quite often, with a discount code you can secure one for closer to the $200.00 a night rate.

FW is the BEST campground around. Nothing compares to it.:thumbsup2 Myself personally, I would have a much better time there, bringing my own TT rather than I did staying the cabins...based soley on the rate charged and the location they are in. Even with bringing your own unit..you can expect to pay between $50.00 to $100.00 for your site..depending on the time of year you visit and the type of hook up you need.
