Hello, I will be coming to Orlando with my hubby on a business trip and have plans to hang out for one of the days at Epcot while he does some business stops. Can anybody tell me where he would drop me off and pick me up at Epcot. I would prefer to be dropped right at the park if possible.

The passenger pick up/drop off at Epcot is near the bus stop area. So it's right at the parks, but on the edge of the buses.

Side? I'm not sure what you mean. You won't have a hard time knowing where to go. They have passenger drop off well marked

Thank you I'm just a little nervous because I've never done this before

Hopefully, this works. The passenger drop off is marked on the map

When you approach the parking lot, go to the furthest right toll booth that has a green light. The cm in the booth will direct you thru an opening in the flex sticks on the right into the bus lane. Then follow signs to the Drop-Off.

Is there a way to be dropped off near the Boardwalk along Epcot Resorts Blvd and walk to the International Gateway? Looks to be about the same distance and probably way less traffic.

ETA: I changed this post since I'm not sure there is an easy walk way back there. Hopping someone can chime in on a good spot that doesn't require going through a resort gate.

This is an option to consider. If you are entering and heading to WS it is about the same distance. If you are heading in to FW, the IG entrance is a bit longer walk, but not drastically.

I edited my post after I sort of looked around back there.

Easiest way without going through security would be outside the parking lot behind the Speedway Gas station, near the Boardwalk convention center. Closest drop off would require going through the Beach Club entrance. Just have your husband tell the guard he is dropping you off.

That really makes so much more sense that putting them over in the middle of the buses. Never did understand that

It used to be in that same location, and it never worked well. First, it's in the handicapped parking area, and drivers with handicapped tags always parked in the spaces marked for Guest Drop Off. It also required cars to cross the stream of Guests walking at park close -- twice!

Then, when Uber & Lyft came along, the 2 or 3 spaces marked for Drop Off couldn't handle the volume, so they moved it to where 3 is on the map, and repurposed the area for electric car charging. But the new area turned out to be a mess because there was no clear traffic pattern.

Finally they moved it to center of the bus area, added benches, cones, and a cm to help organize things, and it's been working well ever since. Unless they've done some major reconfiguration of the old area, it's going to be a mess again.

I'm guessing Epcot got a new parking manager. At Disney, whenever a new manager takes over an area, he feels the need to change things around, for no reason other than to show upper management how smart he is, and generally ends up mucking everything up.

From the article.

Starting from this week, the Epcot Guest pick-up and drop-off area will move to a new location. While Guests were previously directed to pick up and drop off other Guests in the area also used by buses, they will now be able to use row one of the Journey parking lot to do so (this location is slightly closer to the entrance of the park). Guests entering the parking lot should follow the access road to the bus parking lot, where a sign will direct them to Journey row one.
