I've read some great threads about great coupons (lots of Buy 1 gt 1 frees), but can't figure out where you guys get these great coupons. I check my local Sunday paper, but the best we get is .35 off this, or .50 off that......... :confused3

Our Sunday paper inserts haven't been great either. I've noticed that I might have a $.35 off coupon while others on the boards post that they have a $.75 off one for the same item. It depends on location. I've gotten some great coupons from eBay for things that I really need and use. Bettycrocker.com has printable coupons on their website.

I am also interested in where to find coupons besides the sunday paper. Thanks for starting this thread!

I cannot even find coupons in the sunday paper! I've tried three times now, going page by page and all I ever find are auto adverts or clothing store ads etc.

:(

They are inserts in the newspaper with all the store adds. They aren't in the actual newspaper, they come with the newspaper. I hope that made sense!

Our Sunday paper as well as the weekend edition of our local paper have coupons in them every week except for holiday weeks. The coupons are separate flyers inserted with the sale ads.
Sometimes on Wednesdays or Thursdays the food section has a few general coupons as well as some for specific grocery stores in the area.
Check magazines also. Family Circle, Woman's Day, and Better Homes and Gardens sometimes have coupon sections in them, perhaps there are others.
Visit websites for the products you use. I know Kraft as well as others have printable coupons available. Check that your local grocery store accepts printable ones, I've heard that some don't. You may want to also sign up for delivery by mail for your grocery store flyer, that way if they offer any coupons in their flyer you would get an extra set.
Some libraries have a coupon box. They ask that you add to it as well as take items from it. Ask neighbors, friends and family members if they'd want to do a swap with you, my sister and I do it and the cashiers are always asking me how I get so many!
Also, check with your store and see if they accept competitors coupons. Every week I use a Price Chopper coupon ($8 of $50 order) as well as a Shaw's one. It's nice to see $16 shaved right off the top. If they do sign up for delivery by mail for the competitors flyers also.
All I can think of right now

Also more online available from smartsource.com and coolsavings.com

A while back there was a big case of coupon fraud and now none of the stores in my area will accept internet printed coupons from any site  It's too bad because I could really save a lot more money if I could print coupons too. I had over $27 in coupon savings on my last trip. I find it amusing that some people don't think couponing works. That's money I can spend on vacation now :rotfl:

When I "steal" my boyfriend's coupons from his Sunday paper (he lives in NYC), they are always better coupons that I get in my local Sunday paper (central NJ). Where mine might be for 50 cents off, his is for 75 cents off.

It also helps that my local stores double coupons if you have a shopper card (in fact, Pathmark had TRIPLE coupons this week - up to 99 cents - with your Pathmark shopper card!!!)

I just got an email this morning from my HomeSolutionsNews.com newsletter which has some coupons. I can't download them here at work, so I'm not sure exactly which ones they have at the moment, but they're usually for cleaning products and such.

Check out the website and sign up for the newsletter. I get a lot of coupons via email through various newsletters. And our Sunday papers almost always have them.

Sometimes you can get store specific coupons by going to that store's website. I know Kroger grocery stores offer coupons on their store brand items. Instead of having you print a coupon, they somehow add it to your store card (the card they scan when you are checking out), so when you purchase a particular item, the $ will come of when your card is scanned. I think it is at www.kroger.com. Some of the other grocery stores might have something like it.

You can also order them online for a handling fee- usually .03-.10 ea plus shipping. I use www.cutncoupons.com and www.thecouponclippers.com. You can also trade with other people- there is a good board for trading at www.mycoupons.com. If you find a great deal that is free or almost free, it makes sense to order as many coupons as you can use to stock up (if you have the space).

Also, the bigger the paper, the more coupons. My local paper only has a few in each insert per week, but if I get the Cleveland Plain Dealer, they have a lot more.

To find out a lot about couponing/refunding, try www.mycoupons.com. They have a board devoted to couponing/rebates and you can find a lot of good deals listed. There are also a lot of coupon groups in yahoo groups for specific areas. The members will list their good deals which are specific for your area. I belong to a NE Ohio group that always has great deals listed.

Good luck in your couponing!

I second the vote for mycoupons.com!!!!
The TOT (tips of the trade) board is the best!!!!

I also get coupons from woman's day magazine. There site is www.womansday.com. Click on the coupons tab on the right side. The coupons come from microsite.

I've been buying my coupons from e-bay. It usually works out to be about $0.10-0.15 per coupon with shipping. I don't have access to a large number of coupons and by buying coupons in lots of 5 or 10 I can really stock up on items at a really good price. It also makes sense for me to buy because the stores in my area double coupons to $1.00. So if I buy a $0.50 coupon for $0.10 I am still saving $0.90. If your stores don't double coupons it might not work out to be enough savings. I also went to a small local store and ask what they do with the extra papers that they don't sell on Sunday and they said they couldn't give me the papers but if I wanted to come back Monday morning I could pull the coupons out before the papers were picked up. I went on Monday morn. and got 8 sets of coupons but the lady who was working was really nasty about it and didn't want to give them to me so I haven't been back. One more way I have heard about is to find out where the newspaper distributors paper recycling center is and go "dumpster diving".

Good luck couponing, it has become a quest for me to find good deals and stock up on the necessities.

ok, i'm not purposely trying to be dense, but i'm on the womansday site and i can't find any link for coupons-i even did a search. HELP!

Today in the mail I received the latest Very Best Kids magazine...even though I don't have any kids. I sometimes send the magazine to my sister...but I keep the coupons for me. There were a nice handful in there.

This magazine is associated with the Nestle website www.verybestbaking.com ...a great place for recipes and the occassional coupon.

Thanks JoiseyMom!

That does make sense, and I've copied all the hints and printed them so I'll take a stab at it this weekend :)
