"Where did y'all get those shirts?" Fried, Tie-Dyed, and Places Mickey Hides.

I am excited to hear what the surprise is!!!:thumbsup2. You guys going to the flea market in daytona reminds me of when I was a kid and we used to do the exact same thing. After the Flea Market we would then eat at Aunt Catfish's by the Port Orange bridge. Oh the memories.

Waiting for more when you have time.popcorn::

Isn't it funny how people's tastes differ? DHS is my family's favorite park. We love the TOT. I will be waiting to hear about your surprise.

We usually go to a seafood place when visiting Daytona...Aunt Catfish's, Sweetwaters (near same bridge), or Barnacle's (not related to the chain resturants...up in Ormond). I think it was going to be Barnacle's this trip...but our family canceled on us.

yeah...funny...guess we just ain't cut out for Hollywood. Faces for Radio. :lmao: Voices for Hog Callin'. :rotfl:

oh yaaaaaa!!! the last suprise was the vip fast pass!!! :yay:
Well this was a surprise for my Family...so it's not as cool as a VIP FP...but it was a special treat...just wish I could have done it 5-6 years ago.

Finally got caught up and waiting to hear what the surprise is! Great TR.

WHAT???!!! I can't wait that long.:goodvibes Really enjoying your TR. By the way, how did Boy do on RNR?

Boy did fine...said he kept his eyes shut through most of it.
Said he peeped a few times.

Funny how 2 kids with the same environment can be so different...

Tiny is fearless...well...almost...

Boy...he says that during a ride he just can't shut out the thoughts of something breaking down...Peter Pan makes him nervous...says what if the Boat comes crashing down on London of in the middle of Neverland.

Having our car at Test Track break down on us kinda defeated the unlikelihood of that happening argument. :lmao:

I've tried to tell him he needs to take the :scared1: and turn those feelings into a :woohoo: after it's over...he's more of the kiss the ground sort of guy though.

Interesting that you don't like Studios very much....I've come to really like that park and always enjoy my time spent there.

Funny how us Disney lovers can differ in our likes/dislikes. :-)

Great Updates, I just caught up again.

Like others have said, it's funny how some like HS and others don't. We love HS, the addition of TSM and that entire area is great. We like to slow down at this park and take in some of the "streetmosphere", those little shows are really funny and you can get involved (usually by force). I have to admit the back area is a little sad when the Osbourne lights are not on. We are huge Star Wars fans as well, and I can't wait for the refurb on Star Tours. one place you should try for lunch is Mama Melrose, it's not a CS but really great food. Thanks for the heads up on the commisary, we were going to go in last trip and it was way too busy for my liking and walked up to Mama Melrose and were able to get in for lunch.:thumbsup2

I think Tiny and I could go to HS and have fun...we could spend part day there going between RnR, ToT,TSM...we would probably have a better time if we knew Mel and Boy were having fun elsewhere...maybe next time we will split up at different parks...but probably won't go back until they've refurbed Star Tours.

Is funny how we all differ...but love WDW...allot of people don't like AK and that's one of our favorites.

Well Today's agenda...everyone wear our Donald Tie-Dye shirts...get out picture made in front of the Castle...which means we are going to MK for our 2nd time...but first I had a surprise.

If you will look in my sig...I have a list of several trips...well most of these were with extended family...and usually on someone else's coin.

2003...Mel's Mom and Dad made the Trip with us...and they bought our Tickets...and we staid at the Comfort LBV in just on the outskirts of WDW...Tiny was 3...Boy 8...and Mel and I were much thinner. Just went to MK twice.

2005...Mel's Folks again...plus her sister and hubby...this was at a Villa in the Indian Creek community...I booked everything on my CC...MIL/FIL paid me back. We did MK and Epcot

2006...not to be out done...my folks treated us and My Brother's family...
Villa in Indian Creek...we went to MK, AK, Sea World.

2007...back right before Christmas of 2006...Mel's Mom died from complications from treatment of Multiple Myloma (it's a bone cancer)...she had a Life Insurance policy for both Daughter's to split 50/50...the girls decided to use some of the $ to goto Disney...and we did. All 4 Parks plus BB.

Then there is this trip...hey guess what...we had never done Disney as just our family!!! Well not exactly true...we came once when Boy was 3 and did the MK...we actually had our Hotel over in Daytona...

So I wanted to do something special that I had always wanted to try. I booked us reservations for a Character Breakfast at Chef Mickey's.

Forget the Kids...this was for Me and Mel!!!

So we get up and get dressed...and head to Magic Kingdom...Res was for 10:20...so we get to the MK lot around 9:30...Mel knows...the boy's don't...I say let's take the Resort Monorail, we've never done that. So we get on...and ride...Poly...GF...MK...lets ride over to the Contemporary...I'd like to Check it out. OK...So we pull into the CR and get off. I pull out my reservation print out and say...well we better hurry it say to get in line 15-20 minutes early. :rolleyes1

OK they get it...I wished Boy was a little younger for this...but he had fun.

So here's our Pictures of said adventure...but keep an eye out for that secret hidden Mickey...you will see it in several Pictures...also...there's a small chumk of Brick on the top of our shirts that look like HM's too.

I really like Minnie...Boy is one of those people that just don't have it in them to smile naturally for a camera...but Minnie brings a natural smile out of Boy.

That leaves the Big Cheese...he was just leaving the room when we were seated...so he should be back ...the Food was good...not great...but good...

We were seated near the Window so I take some pictures outside...the Red monorail Taunted Boy the whole trip...always driving by...but never got to ride it...and Red is Boy's favorite color...

Red monorail is taunting Boy!!!

It was something I wasn't sure I'd be able to do...seeing how i booked our Vacation just barely over a month before we were to arrive...I played with the online reservations tool for several days...finally got this time slot and booked it online. I was a little sad when I had reached the 1 week mark of our trip without finding a time slot...July 18-25th was completely booked. July 26th was my lucky day.

I also scored us a Dinner for Tuesday night the 28th...but you'll have to wait until I get there to find out where.

Did you find the Secret Mickey in these pictures??? :confused3

Now that I'm home I have to try to catch up with your report. Did the Dole Whip--didn't care for it, but Mark did. :)

Hope you had a great time...looking forward to your TR.

I've heard that some people don't like the Dole Whip...sorry...glad Mark liked them.

My TR hasn't gone very far since you left...so you shouldn't have too much to read.

I probably won't get my trip report started until the weekend. This going back to reality -- WORK -- is interfering with my DIS time.
