Knucklehead did not want to see It's Tough to Be a Bug. If the wait hadn't been so long inside the tree, we might have made it inside, and I'm sure he would have liked it. But as they crammed more and more people inside towards the theatre doors, Knucklehead became more scared. When he got to the point of tears, I took him out of there.
Instead of watching the Bug show, we walked around the tree and got to see a real live Tarantula. Did I mention I hate spiders? Knucklehead loved it, getting right up close to the glass cage. The CM there gave Knucklehead some kind of "Safety" card. I stood back a good ways realizing how Knucklehead felt inside the tree.
I bought us some popcorn and a Coke with our vouchers and headed for the exit. We needed a swim.
After our swim and showers the whole family left for MK for our Priority Seating at Cinderella's Royal Table. We were running late, and the Monorail stopped between the Contemporary and MK. We only brought the one stroller and one of those baby backpacks in case Knucklehead got tired and couldn't keep up that night he could get in the stroller, and Bo Bo could ride on my back. It ended up being a good idea because when we got off the Monorail we loaded Bo Bo onto my back. DW pushed Knucklehead through the bag check station in the stroller while Bo Bo and I went straight in. I double timed it with him to the Castle to find it closed off from our direction. We had to go around.
We just made it, and at check in I requested a window table. DW and Knucklehead caught up and we cooled down in the waiting area and went up 20 minutes later. We were seated by the window and had another great waitress, I mean CM. I felt sorry for her because she was also waiting on a table full of spoiled brat teenagers that were trying to give her a hard time. Somehow, she kept her composure and was still able to smile while waiting on us. I was impressed. We ate the Prime Rib and Knucklehead had a burger and the Crown Sundae. He managed to get the chocolate all over his face.

I don't know if you noticed, but the other day we spent a whole day at MK and never entered Fantasyland. I don't know how that happened, but we fixed it Tuesday night. We made the rounds, my personal favorite, Peter Pan's Flight, then Mickey's Philharmagic (outstanding!), and the Winnie the Pooh ride (cute). I'm still depressed that It's a Small World was closed.
We continued out of Fantasyland and rode Buzz's Spin. It was getting late, and Knucklehead piped up and said, "I want to ride Space Mountain with Dad."
"That sounds like a great idea," says Dad.
We rush over there because the fireworks are about to start. We get to the entrance and the CM there says, "Wait right there a moment."
"Aw, man," a voice similar to mine groans. I was afraid he wasn't going to let us on as he disappeared for a second. When he returned he told us to go on through. We practically ran up into the mountain. When we boarded our rocket, that same CM got in behind us and asked, "Mind if we ride with you?"
"No problem."
We were the last ones to ride Space Mountain that night, and as we exited, the fireworks had already started.
Knucklehead was proud of himself. "It's not so bad when you know what's gonna happen," he says confidently. "I wish we could ride it again."
"Oh, we will son. Don't you worry. Just not tonight."
