I want to learn to sew clothes (mostly children's) and other things so bad but just don't know where to begin. I checked the college's website and they don't offer any sewing classes.. How in the heck do I do this? Can anyone help me out with suggestions of places to go? I can sew pillows, puppets, blankets, and silly stuff like that but not much more.

Thankyou SO much if you can help me!!

Check a local fabric store. Sometimes they have classes or have business cards for people or organizations that do.

HI,
Well, I know how to sew, just the basic stuff and I know how to make simple clothes, like girls spring dresses, curtains, pillows and even doll clothes. I took classes when I was in high school and i remember the basic stuff, but I got magazines and a little book from wal mart, called basic sewing, I just made a poodle skirt for my DD's sock hop festival.

Check your local Michael's, Hobby Lobby or Joan's for classes. Also colleges offer adult classes like sewing, english, spanish etc.

My DD loves Lizzy McGuire and Raven and we saw the patterns at wal mart for 4.99 with really nice skirts, blouses, matching accesories, so i got a couple packs to start and practice a little more.
