Where are you vacationing this year "non disney"

Rented a huge beach house at the Outer Banks with my 2 sils and their families. It will be 16 of us! 9 kids ranging from 19 to 10 and one 5 yr old. It will definitely be nuts.
They generally get along well and the house has its own pool, hot tub, movie room , pool table and plenty of room to stretch out.

Any thoughts on Nemacolin? We are going there in Aug. From there we are driving to DC> Would love to hear some thoughts on unique things to do en-route.

We are going to Lake George for 1 week, the Jersey Shore for a long weekend and most likely a weekend in NH this summer. We will also go camping a couple summer weekends and take a day trip to NYC this spring.

We're going to Vegas in July. Also plan on going up to Canada, and I hope to get out to Boston on my own (I am from that area originally).

I agree! Hawaii is wonderful! We've been 3 times, including a month long vacation in 2005 there. We are headed back next May for 2 1/2 weeks.

Thanks! I am a little nervous that I can't plan out every minute like I do for Disney. Still you can't do much better than 2 weeks in Paradise.

This year is a Disney year since we bought APs on our trip there in December 2009. So it is WDW and Vero at the end of June for 10 nights and then again to OKW for 5 nights in December before Christmas, gotta get the last visit out of those passes.

Next summer the girls want to go to Northern California, San Francisco, Napa, Redwood Forest, etc. I also want to try to take them to DC, maybe Spring Break.

DH and I just got back yesterday from a week in Hawaii. We spent 4 days in Maui and 4 days on the Big Island. We had a great time although 4 days was a LOT to spend on the Big Island.

Next trip to Hawaii (probably not for a very long time!), we will go to Oahu and do the touristy stuff and also go to Kauai.

Oh a couple of months ago, we also took a weekend cruise to the Bahamas on Carnival!

Colorado in June and non-DCL cruise to Bermuda next month right after our mini-vacation at WDW.

Headed to El Paso, TX for DSD's graduation. Making a two week trip out of it, stopping in AR, Galveston and San Antonio on the way there, then Colorado Springs on the way home with maybe a stop over in Cheyenne and/or Omaha on the drive home.

Did Disney 3x between Christmas 08 and Christmas 09 on the AP's, not planning to return until at least Christmas 11.

Probably going to DC summe 11, DS really wants to go back.

We're going to Topsail Island, NC in June and Oklahoma City for five weeks this summer to stay with DH who has been working out there. I'm still trying to fit in 4 or 5 nights at WDW in November but in may not work out, if not will visit Amish Country in Ohio in November.

We are heading to North Conway NH. There is a theme park there called 'Storyland.' It is supposed to be great for little one's. The price is great too, 27 dollars per day!
We will likely explore around Portland and Bangor too.

about an hour away from Storyland is Santas Village also very cute for little ones!!
