Trying to plan a trip in April for our family. We have 3 kids and will be leaving out of MA during the state's vacation week. Our kids are 5, 9, and 10 and very adventurous. We definitely want to go somewhere warm with either an awesome pool area and/or a great beach and some other activities available. Have done the Mayan Riviera several times and last year we did Costa Rica which was absolutely incredible but took a lot of planning.

Any ideas?? We're pretty much open to anything.

We were going to go to Punta Cana in the Domincan Republic but I will be 8 months pregnant by the time I get spring break so we are staying home, lol.

We go to Ocean City, MD every year for spring break. There is nothing to do there, but read and spend time with the family.

We're going on a holland America cruise to the Caribbean (Guatemala,Honduras, costa maya, key west) $799 first two people, $399 third and fourth! Driving to save airfare!

Not for DD's Spring Break, but when my Spring Break starts we are doing an overnight at Great Wolf Lodge. We were there at the beginning of November and purchased the "bouce back" deal. You get a great pool area, but yo don't have to travel too far.

Oooh I love this thread. Punta Cana, Caribbean and Maryland all sound amazing! This is my first year having to deal with school Spring break and it falls on the weekend my oldest turns 7 and it's the week before Easter too. We decided since we were going to Disney in January we'd do something lower key for Spring break. So we're renting a house on the Oregon coast for the first weekend and having some family stay with us. Then we'll drive to Eastern Oregon to stay with that fmaily all week. They have a DD my oldest's age and they've never met each other, so that will be fun. We also just decided to fly rather than renting an SUV and drive the 10 hours. The girls are beyond excited to go on an airplane. The oldest has only been to Hawaii when she was 2 and the youngest has never flown.

Also from MA..this year Disney & Disney cruise, but we have done the Marriott Frenchman Reef in St. Thomas (2 years ago) and loved it! Direct flight from Boston is only 4 hours & no passort needed. You can ferry over to St. John / St. Croix..we chose not to as our kids were 7 & 1, but the resort was fine for a week...nice pools & great private beach

We are going to Napa...kids are going to the grandparents... :yay::yay:
Love this...went to Napa this summer for our 10 year annv...of you like reds do not miss Del Dotto...the orginal on silverado trail...it Is expensive $50 per person but sn amazing time, where you taste put of the barrel!

Sadly Dh and I can not get out of work/school obligations for our kids Spring break. So we are going to Disney for my husbands spring break which is only doable this year because my dd has a semester of easy classes. I am thankful for that because if it was a tougher semester there would be no way she could miss 5 days.
So I guess I can't complain though it will be better when his schedule changes and we don't have to miss school. I'd love to do a March Break cruise.:)

We did Disney on spring break last year...this year we will probably just do 1 day trip. I'm thinking of going to Atlanta for a full day, maybe go to Legoland there or Six Flags.

I am probably taking kids to indoor water park. We have did Disney this year and had a blast but can't do Spring Break in 2013. We have also done a cruise, Smokey Moutains (Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg), Mammoth Cave in KY.

We were thinking of doing Charleston SC as we did that one summer and had a great time but DH only has a few days off during kids Spring Break.

This is our first year not going to Florida. We are heading to Grand Cayman. The kids loved Discovery Cove so much last year that we decided it was time for a beach vacation!
