Where are you going for spring break? (Besides Disney!)

We are spending 17 days over Christmas in Grand Cayman so wont be doing a trip for the kids spring break.

Hubby and i may sneek off for 4nights to Vegas late spring............

I'd love to hear what your "must sees" are! We are heading there in April for the first time. I'm still trying to decide between Soto's, Captain Marvin's or Dexters for Stringray City. Feel free to PM.

We were in Grand Cayman for one day (on a cruise). We took wave runners to Sting Ray City where we stayed for 30 minutes feeding the stingrays and getting photos with them. We then took the wave runners to Rum Point Beach for 30 minutes before heading back. It was $99 a person and we each had our own individual wave runners - though you could do a double or triple if you wanted. It was so much fun and I would do it again in a heartbeat! All the people on the boats and catamarans heading to Sting Ray City were watching us speeding by and zipping all around.

Disney world :) March 10-15. Driving there and back for the first time.

We are doing Disney in July so for spring break we are camping at Normandy Farms in Foxboro, MA. The place is amazing, we call it Disney North.

We moved to PA this year and for some reason they don't have a real spring break here! I've never seen any school schedule like it. Their idea of a break is Thursday, Friday and Monday over Easter. Guess what...they took Thursday away already because we missed two days with the hurricane last month! So our break is now two school days off! Not feeling it!! They also took away Presidents' Day Monday too. These kids are going to have the longest winter/spring to get through without much to look forward to. So no plans for us. I want to do a New York City trip when the kids get out in June and we pushed our usual summer disney trip to November this year because we are doing our first disney cruise over thanksgiving and then 3 days in the parks!

We are going to Fairbanks to see the world ice art championship and auroras. Not the most traditional spring break, but there's nowhere warm nearby and I want to keep it cheap and our travel hours down to a few hours.

Nowhere. My daughter is in year round school so we have a 2 week fall break and take our big vacation then. Fewer crowds, better prices and great weather if you head south or far west. We are going to Disney World again next October!

Trying to decide between a trip to Pensacola, FL for a few days sunning and then to New Orleans for a few days of playing.

Its a choice between that and a Williamsburg/Washington DC trip.

the kids want to go back to Gatlingburg, but that is so darned expensive, I'd rather go to Disney :lmao:

We don't get a traditional sping break here. Instead we get the week of Easter off. Its usually the week after Easter, but if Easter is real late then its the week before.

I have heard great reviews from families that have gone to Bahamas....more specifically Atlantis Paradise Island.
They have tons of things/adventures for ALL ages....so your kids should have plenty of choices for fun.
Right now they show a February special. Not sure if you said when your break is.

This year I'm the destination point for my friends for Spring Break! They're coming in from the Frozen North to visit us in the wilds of Gulf Coast Louisiana. We'll probably go to New Orleans and Natchez, and I'll take them to see the sights (and sites, LOL!) of Baton Rouge. (It helps that they're history buffs - I could probably do a two week tour of history and archaeology in this area and still have attractions I haven't yet gotten around to!)

We are also from MA. We've been to Punta Cana a couple of times and loved it. and lots of cruises that have also been lots of fun.

This year, we don't really have the budget for a warm destination, so we've rented a timeshare in the Berkshires for April vacation. We got a great deal because it's between ski season and summer. I was surprised at how much there is to do out there. There's the Norman Rockwell museum, as well as Eric Carle and Mass MOCA. It's also a reasonable distance from Cooperstown for a day trip. And I think we might consider a day trip to Hyde Park, NY to see FDR's house. And Mount Graylock is there for hiking, etc, plus it looks like the resort has a decent indoor pool. I think we'll have a great week, even if we're not soaking up the rays in the Carribbean.

The Keys. Got a great deal on airfare with Spirit and a decent rate at Hawks Cay in Marathon. We will rent a car for the week a explore everywhere between Key Largo & Key West. DD will be 14 and I think she will enjoy this. Cruises are always fun too. we did an extended family cruise over Thanksgiving then a couple days at Disney.

We have spent most of our spring breaks visiting family in the Washington DC area. It is a really great destination in the spring time. We did the White House Easter Egg Roll 4 times. But now the boys are too old for that.

This year we're going to Hawaii! Can't wait, it's going to be a once in a lifetime trip.

DH, DS (14 yrs. old) and I are headed to Washington DC for a week and staying at the Residence Inn Arlington Courthouse. For those of you that have already done this trip, I would love to hear your favorites. We'll be there March 16-23 and now I'm kind of worried that it will be really cold there during our visit.

We did Washington DC this past spring break. Kids all said they wanted to go somewhere warmer next year. DC was cold --and we are from Minnesota! Our favorite was probably the Bureau of Engraving and Printing.

We are heading to CA next year for spring break.

Lots of great ideas!! We're doing a Disney cruise in March next year but I'm trying to figure out where to go in the summer. This gives me lots of great ideas.

My other problem is finding somewhere to go mid February when we have a long weekend.
