Where are all the Louisiana WDW lovers? UPDATED 1ST POST WITH DATES!

We are from Lafayette and LOVE everything Disney!! Became DVC members a few years ago and vacation there as often as possible. We are taking our first DCL cruise in a few weeks then heading to Vero Beach to relax for a few more days. Our next trip to WDW is for Mardi Gras 2009 - anyone else planning a trip then??

I'm from the Lake Charles area and trying to figure out when I can go again. We went in February, it was fantastic. I would love to go Mardi Gras 2009!

We'll be at Pop Century 5/29 to 6/7. First time staying at a value so we're a little worried but we have family from Jonesboro, La. going with us and that's where they wanted to stay.

Any reassurance from fellow Louisiana residents about Pop Century?

POP is just fine. Set low expectations and be surprised at how nice. Small rooms, but fun atmosphere. Just enjoy the magic! Find a map and request a room near the food court and bus stop or pool.

That's what I was thinking. We stayed offsite for many years and at the CBR the last two years. We were booked for the WL before Uncle Sam came a beatin' at our door! I'm going there with low expectations but with a positive attitude. I figured that way if we fell in love with the place, we'd be pleasantly surprised.

Graduated college in Lake Charles (still have lots of friends there, anyone on here? )

Lived in Mandeville for a few years, until dh's job transferred us to the Gulf Coast.

Denham Springs here!!! Can't wait for my vacation!!!! Celebrating my son's 19th birthday and hopefully graduating from high school. Boy is trying to drive me nuts!! Also have a daughter that's 13, maybe she'll communicate with me in the "world"?

We're from Haughton which is just east of Bossier City. We're headed back in June which makes our 3rd trip in a year. Just HAVE to get my monies worth out of our Anuual Passes lol. This trip we're leaving dh and ds's home (baseball will have them busy) and it will be 3 of us brave moms and 5 teens who are celebrating their high school graduation.

We are from St. Amant some call it Gonzales, LA...We are Disney lovers....I have been pleny of times as a child and My husbands first trip was for our Disneymoon in 1995. We have made a couple of trips since then the latest was in Sept. 2007 free dining.... We loved every minute of that trip...We are planning the next trip for Late May 2009 I cant wait i could go now...The kids are asking everyday when can we go back to Disney again...We watch everything that comes on TV about Disney over and over...Glad to know there are Louisiana fans out there...

Im from Gonzales, LA! My husband and I have only been to Disney once each when we were both wayyy younger. But now that we have our own child we are bringing him in March 09!! We CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!

Congrats on booking your first FAMILY WDW Trip

Ya'll are going to have a wonderful time. Even though my DH had been a few times as a child, I had never gone until 3/06. It was my first time in the world and my childrens first time too! I had so much fun with them, seeing it not only for myself but through their eyes as well. It truely is a magical place. We have been hooked ever since with our last trip in 11/07 and our upcoming trip in Sept!!!

You are going to have so much fun!!!
Oh and I see you are from Gonzales....we are too!

We will be at BonnettCreek next to Epcot June 20th -27! We will have something LSU on our backpacks!!!!
