I own at Grande Vista. Do you have kids? They have an indoor play area. They also have a great kids night out program where you can leave the kids from 5 to 10 p.m. and they get to play in the indoor play area, make science projects or some other theme, have pizza, and get free tokens for the game room. I think it was $25 for the first and $20 for the second child.
To get an idea about what we like, we have stayed at the following places:
Boardwalk Villas -- one bedroom. (Location, of course, is superior here, but I liked the kids activities much more at GV. The bathrooms and spaciousnees are superior at GV as well. Thought about owning here but didn't want to lock in at just one or two places as the kids get older. Our favorite place to go on Disney property. The Epcot location is the best.)
Wilderness Lodge Villas -- one bedroom (Hated this place! Bus service was atrocious. Landscaping was horrendous (admittedly after a frost). Checkin took an HOUR! Price was ludicrous. Tiny!)
Grand Floridian -- nice, V&A chef's table is fab, but Portofino is nicer -- especially the pool, even with the GF's new pool. Of course, location can't be beat at the GF, and the lobby is stunning.
Portofino Bay -- very nice, especially the kids suite. Pool is only second to Yacht & Beach club. I LOVE the beds here!
Poly -- stayed here before the new pool. Nice, but I don't like dark brown that much.
Beach Club -- got a half balcony. Didn't like it, except for the pool.
Yacht Club -- beats Beach Club hands down with the full balconies.
Kids can't wait to go back to Grande Vista three bedroom!
You can also try some great restaurants that are off property and visit Universal or Seaworld. I would recommend Bahama Breeze!
