dh family does. I hate it. I try to be "busy" when we arrive at a family gathering by taking off my coat, helping kids get settled etc. and give a quick wave and "Hi Everyone!" It almost never works. As I walk by everyone leans in for a cheek kiss. UGH I hate it, especially during cold & flu season.

HA! You are probably right. I just get nervous and try to do anything to avoid the cheek kissing, hoping that if i am busy long enough they will ignore me. I think by looking busy, they see it as a challenge. LOL!!

Yes they kiss everyone when you arrive and when you leave and I don't like it.

No kissing. Sometimes hugs, but you've got to time it right to avoid the hugs. Last people in don't get hugged, cause everyone is too busy eating and drinking to notice you.

Yes. Italian family. Always kiss hello and goodbye. Guys shake hands, brothers and in laws..except my father in law and his sons kiss hello/goodbye.
Friends-we kiss hello and goodbye too.

Immediate, in-laws when they were alive, yeah.

Some of the extended do as well which is fine if I see them often, it's the ones I hardly see that creep me out. Especially one of my uncles who's a bit on the smarmy side.

It's hand shaking that I loathe with a passion. Especially with people I've only just met.
