When you stayed at WL...

...DON'T compliment AspiringCindy; it'll go straight to her HEAD!!

Ahh Kimmar, think of what it must have been like for Aspiring Cindy. You'd have to be a tough act to follow or open for ( whatever the case may be ). We all know that you started, cultivated and grew what has become the most read, best loved thread on the boards. You've attracted the very best people and made this place a warm, comfy place to be. Isn't it grand that Aspiring Cindy has aspired to the heights you have climbed ? You must be so proud.
How's that? My 3 daughters

will be in the same place at the same time this weekend and I'm getting in a little practice.

So sorry I missed this post. You want what is known as the "Bear Face" rooms. Two we have been able to identify are 5067 & 5071

UPDATE: I was able to get more info from a source AC & I have. Again I am sorry I missed your question. Hope this helps you.
The lobby rooms on the 5th floor (there are 4 that are non-smoking that look directly out the back of the resort – 5073 (king)/ 5071/ 5069/ 5067, there a great view of the pool, geyser and lake. It was wonderful to watch the electric water pageant at night and the sun on the water in the day. As soon as you walked out our door you could look down over the lobby.

Possibly the 4th floor rooms 4079/ 4077/ 4075 (king)/ 4073 (king) (4067/ 4069/ 4071 have a tree in front)

You have echoed what many of us have said. We look on AC as the Soul of the Heart & soul team. Her warmth and sincerity is always a welcomed treat.

OK - I have to push this back up, so I'll take a minute to post my location...

Stayed at WL twice (8/02 & 2/03). Both Standard view. Rooms 4097 & 4098(4th floor). One was Queen & bunks, other was 2 queens (sorry I can't remember which was which  ). They were lobby rooms, above the check-in desk. The balcony was a closed railing, and looked at roof tops, and some woods way off in the distance.

We never even sat on our balcony either trip(only went out to gauge the weather each morning). We did however use the chairs outside the room overlooking the lobby in the evenings.

Floridacat We have a courtyard view booked for our Jan trip - I love being off of the lobby, but think it would be nice to be able to view the lake & electric water pageant (or fireworks, etc). I think the "bears face" rooms you mentioned sound wonderful. Like the best of both worlds. Please post or pm me if you get any more info about them - I appreciate you taking the time to post to help the rest of us!!!

Hope this helps someone.

We had 7115 on the concierge floor. Two queen beds, non smoking. Liked being able to look out on the balcony - to one side to see if the food offerings area was busy, and to the other to check out if the pool area was busy. (Obviously, we had courtyard view.) Just a short walk around the corner to the elevators and "lounge". (We loved it!)

It's 5:00 am and I'm already up and getting my Disney fix. I've got about 10 days to go and I'm like a 6 year old, practically bouncing with anticipation.
I have a confession to make.........I thought I had found the "bears face" but I was wrong, so very, very wrong. I thought that the face could be seen in the huge window overlooking the "courtyard view" and that it was d/t the effect of the lights in the WL. I had gotten to the point where I could stand across the room and when any photo of that window showed up on my screensaver I'd say, "Oh look, there's the bear.". I have been so convincing that my entire family is now seeing the bear. I'm not entirely nuts, it does look like a bear. Anyway, could someone please direct me to a picture where "the bear" is real obvious? Good thing I got up early, I gotta start working on my, " I never said "that" was the bear." line.

Go to Majestics WL PHOTO site.
Open the WL Night Pictures folder.
The bottom row, 3 pictures of the Bear. The middle one is the best.
Turn in a circle three times and shout, "There's the Bear"

Thank you so much FloridaCat. He's right where I thought he was. I just didn't realize that guest rooms were involved. And thanks for that information, also. You're the best! ::yes::

Just returned from the Lodge. We had 2 rooms that were connecting. Our room numbers were 4011 and 4013. One room had 2 queens the other room had a queen and a bunk. We had courtyard view non-smoking rooms on the north side overlooking the main pool, waterfalls, and lake. We couldn't see the geyser for the moss in the trees. It was a great location and every request we made before leaving was granted. This place was so GREAT and WONDERFUL. I can't wait to stay here again!!:)

Glad you had a great time! Can't wait to get there.

We just got back (12/5-12/14) had room number 5035. A center courtyard view of the main pool and the lake. The resort was fantastic and we fell in love with it the minute we walked in. I do not know how we will be able to stay anywhere else in the future. We were right near the elevator that is closet to Roaring Fork.

We stayed in room 5149, Courtyard during 11/20-11/26.
From our balcony you could see the waterfall, pool, Bay Lake and gyser. At night we were also able to see the electric water parade from aour balcony. We received towel animals every day which the kids loved.

The room had a queen bed and bunk beds. We were about midway down the long hallway or long sides of the hotel. Excellent location!

room 6012 (woods view)

requested non-smoking with bunk beds. Got bunks, but sixth floor is definately smoking! Didn't like enclosed balcony, but vew of fireworks was good. Would never pay for woods view again unless we DIDN"T stay on 6th floor.

We enjoyed WL and are very glad we stayed there, but AKL is still our favorite. We're trying all the deluxes before we repeat. That leaves GF, CR, YC and BW. None of them really interest me so maybe it will be AKL again next time!

Any good courtyard view rooms to request? Right now I have requested on my reservation connecting rooms with an inner courtyard view. But, is there any special to ask for when I send my fax?

Thanks!

I just went thru and wrote down a bunch of room numbers, it seems that for 4075 I'm getting 2 queens or 1 king. Can someone confirm? Thanks! ;)
