When you stayed at WL...

Hope it's okay that I went looking for this thread, for the purpose of moving it up. I know a bunch of people have visited the Lodge in the past month and I'd love to hear about their rooms and views.

We stayed in room 4165. We had a courtyard view room with bunk beds. We overlooked the pool and hot tubs. We could see bay lake, the geyser and the EWP from our balcony. We didn't realize until the last night that we had a great view of the fireworks as well! Our balcony was also more private than others I felt because we had only a balcony to the left of us but not to the right. We loved this room and the resort. It was beautiful inside and out.

but can only remember one of the numbers

We were in 7050 - top floor facing Magic Kingdom - had a great view of the fireworks at night and the otter pond.

I loved that we were halfway down the hallway - we could go to either elevator the Lobby one or the Roaring Forks one - depending on what we needed.

Anyone just come back from our beloved Wilderness Lodge.. Please post here!!::MickeyMo We want to hear about it!

Hi!! We stayed in room 6163 the last week of October this year. We loved it. It had two queen beds, was the second to the last room from the end so it was very quiet!! We had the inside courtyard view and faced the MK so we were treated to fireworks every night - what a great view. The balcony was not open from the waist down but that didn't bother us at all. We also could see and hear the water parade each night. It was a non-smoking room and a pretty long walk back to the lobby. We did not FAX a room request - decided to take our chances and glad we did. Great first trip for the rest of my family. I'm ready to go back real soon!!

M.K.

:D

Thanks for the post Disney Joe! Really liked your site. Anyone else want to share their WL room numbers and views?
Oh, and thanks again Aspiring Cindy for starting this thread! :sunny:

We have stayed on the 5th floor, woodsview, over looking the otter pond three times and one time we had a courtyard view. Each time our fifth floor room was perfectly located near the elevators for quick access to Roaring Forks, and at night we had a great view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks. Watching the fireworks from your room is a great way to end your day at Disney. We had two queen beds with woodsview, and king bed with courtyard. All were non-smoking rooms. The courtyard view was nice. Seeing the pool and stream at night was very relaxing. We prefer the otter pond with all of its wildlife and the fireworks over the courtyard.

I'm sooo glad people are responding to this thread! We have a project(yet another WL project) that we are working on that utilizes the info! Thanks!

We stayed in room 1026. It was a great handicapped accessible room. Just steps from the otter pond with a patio. Had a king size comfy bed and a walkin shower.

The thing we liked the best location, location, location.:bounce: :bounce:

Just a short walk to the RF cafe(free cokes) and a short walk to the lobby, pool, boats, and really everything!::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::

We had the best time at the WL! I can't wait to go back HOME.:p :p

just got back for the Lodge. We stayed in:
Room 7043 Concierge
Courtyard view, right over the water fall
Last room on the hall, long walk to the elevator and lounge.
Bunk beds, non smoking

We stayed in room 4010 and had a view of the Otter Pond. It is a non smoker with 2 queen beds. We did have a Mickey carved on one of the post on the balconey. I am sorry but we were not impressed with WL this time. We saw the otter playing around but the only other thing we could see was some pine trees and the very top of the Contemporary. The service and room was no better than a Moderate Resort.

I love these kinds of informative threads!!

I'd like to contribute our room #'s and locations as well. My family of 4 stayed at WL in Nov with my mother, sister and friend. We hoped to get two rooms next to each other with an inner courtyard view. Unfortunately, the bunk beds were more important to my kids so we had to change some things around.

We ended up with THE BEST room #6121 at the end of the first hall in the south wing, inner courtyard, view of pool, sound of falls, right above the bridge and side doorway with nobody to our right. It had an open railing balcony, bunk beds and was non smoking. My mom & sis were down the hall a bit in room #6138 on the other side, great view, very quiet, closed balcony, slightly sloped ceiling, two queen beds also non smoking but the person next door was smoking out on the balcony. I thought it was an excellent room also but my mom is never happy with anything and the smoking next door really bothered her.

All in all, we enjoyed every minute of our stay there even if it was only 3 days! We are WL converts to be sure!! Still have yet to do a review of our stay so consider this a partial one.

...DON'T compliment AspiringCindy; it'll go straight to her HEAD!! :teeth:

We were on the 7th floor -don't remember the room number, but our room looked out
right at the WL DVC resort.. We got an upgrade to concierge at the front desk -was
really great! We took advantage of the concierge services, like the snacks all day, etc,
and when we shipped a package home. They were a great help!. I think our room looked
south and east. This has become one of our 4 favorite resorts -the other three being
the Beach Club (both hotel and Villas) the CBR, and our home Boardwalk Villas.
We had a Queen/bunk bed room and my 2x DD loved it! The pool was good, and even
though the ride to the MK could be a bit long and crowded, we really liked getting
there by boat. We'd never done that before in all the years that I've stayed at WDW. The
boat ride is very relaxing, and really beautiful at night with all the resorts lit up, and
the MK just sitting there sparkling!
We'd stay there again in an instant!

Anyone ever stay in the rooms where the balcony faces Bay lake and your door is off the lobby?? At the bottom of the "V"

The Lodge was relatively new when we stayed there- it was 1/95 and I know we were on the 6th floor, but I don't remember the room #. We had a marvelous view of...................the parking lot. Oh well. It was a very nice room- King bed and cute amenities. It was our honeymoon trip and we LOVED the lodge. The two times we have been back since (well, three times if I count my husband's solo trip last weekend) we have taken advantage of Shades of Green and stayed at the Contemporary. Someday we will stay at the Lodge again!
