When you schedule to do the Meet and Greets why does the group not include you

We took a cruise before and we were communicating with a very nice family then when we got there we couldn't find them and the cell app didn't work so we couldn't figure out where the group was and we got left behind. I thought it was very sad for our daughter as it was our first cruise and their kids were to show her around as they have been on the cruise before.

Are you talking about a meet&greet for members of your cruise group? So you can all see each other "live" in-person? I would say IF such a meet is planned for your cruise group, the date/time/location should be communicated through your meet group thread. If you are trying to meet up with 1 specific family that you "met" online -- same is true, make specific plans for date/time/location; and unfortunately, it's always possible some people aren't punctual or might blow you off if they got busy with something else. You could also exchange room numbers to try and facilitate "finding" each other onboard.

I am sorry this happened. A couple things come to mind....did you ask them about it once you returned home? What was their response?

Maybe they changed their mind last minute about wanting to actually meet in person. Some are fine with online but when it comes to real life people can sort of freak out. Also, maybe you were conversing with the wife or the husband and they were fine with meeting up. But when they told their spouse, the spouse may have said “no way”. I am A LOT more social than my husband for example. He is fine sticking to our own family.

Great question. I believe our species will be in a much better place when we come up with a satisfactory answer, and maybe even a solution, to that. Until then, the unsatisfactory answer is "people are people."
