I am always out of deposit slips. I only get like *4* in each pad of checks, and I use very few checks anymore, so I am always running out of deposit slips before I need a new pad of checks. If I go to the tubes, I have to call the teller, ask him/her for a blank deposit slip, send the tube in empty, then the tube comes back out with my slip, fill it out, then send everything back in again. It's just easier and quicker to do it at the window. I always have everything organized and ready to go so all I have to do when I get the blank slip is scribble the totals on it, put down my account number (which I have memorized - had the same bank and account for 20 years) and sign it... no, I am NOT the one holding up the line.
However, if I do have a preprinted deposit slip, I will usually go to the tube lines. Mine are very easy to use as well; twist the top of the canister open, drop in the stuff, twist it closed again, drop it in the slot and press the "send" button. WHOOSH.
