When to Pack?

OK!!! Thanks for all of the replys!!! We are leaving in about 10 days..I have started putting together my bag for the car ride and in about 3 or 4 days i will start putting clothes in suitcases!! I am SOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!! I am a little disney obsessed also !!!!

My out of control friend packs the day we decide to go (about 6 months in advance), I however choose to pack about 6 hours before we leave, which has tested our friendship more than once. So either way your good to go as long as you remember the essentials, a shirt, some comfy shoes, some clean undies, pants, and camera.

Being from the Northeast I have to pull out all the spring/summer stuff and see what fits and what I have to buy so I have started to pull a few things together already! I just put a suitcase on the floor in my room and toss things in as I buy them , or dig them out of winter storage ans wash them.

That said - I think it is a very individual thing and you just do what YOU need to do...

I pack months in advance. Whenever I go into a store and see something on sale that i can use for my trip I pick it up and place it in my "Disney Corner".

It make me happy to see that bag because I know that I will be in Disney soon!!!!

I'm going to Disney in 2 months, and I will probably pack about a week before. I'm actually flying back east for my sister's wedding, and the day after her wedding, both me and my parents, sisters, new brother-in-law, and nephew are all flying to Orlando. So I have to be packed for the trip at least a few days before then.

I have 8 months before we go and I want to start packing now. I have been thinking what I'm going to bring. I have a master list of everything we would need that I pull out before I pack. When I do see something that I want for Disney I put it aside. Camping season is coming so hopefully it'll take my mind off the wait.

Hi all, I too have a corner of our room where I have a back pack with essentials in like spare batteries, sunscreen that was on sale, buy one get one free offers on wipes, and othere toiletries, adaptors for electrical items and so on...... I will be getting the suitcases down very soon to begin to pack our summer outfits, we don't have much need for shorts and t-shirts in NE Scotland so they can go in without the worry of needing them!!! As we are going as a large family group this year I have also been delegated to provide lists for my brother and his family it is their first time in USA so that is ok! We are all getting VERY excited now can't wait!

I'm usually all packed and ready to go a month before we leave. I worry about everything so I have lists. Funny thing is I never remember where I put these lists and then have to redo them again.

As long as your essentials are packed, and you have photocopied passports and travel documents you should be ok.

Must be the May trippers - I too am going in May and have started putting things aside. I have a big bag in my daughter's closet (she has the biggest one in the house - little princess)

I have matching shirts I've picked up for the kids, cute little dresses for my Diva, hats, socks, toothbrushes and other toiletries.

I dont want to get hit with a big bill to buy stuff right before the trip.

I have most of my stuff packed for my trip in 33 days... my wife thinks I am crazy, but now I see I am not the only crazy one....

Our trip isn't for another 6+ months and I have already bought new clothes for myself, DH, and DS to wear while we are there.....

Gosh, I hope that isn't too early! I'm already packing for the boys. I am buying them special Disney t-shirts from the Disney store, while they are on sale. I don't want them destroyed before we even get there, so I bring them home and immediately put them in the suitcases. They won't have any idea until we get there. MK day they both have shirts with multiple characters. Epcot they will both have different buzz lightyear shirts. Then they've got Nemo for MGM. This way, if one got lost, I'll know what characters are on their shirts by what the other is wearing. They aren't identical shirts, but at least characters from the same movie. Please say it's not too early to pack! There is ONLY 8 months left!
