I am thinking about a trip to the original DL and it will be my first. I am wondering what a slow time is and will this May be just crazy crowded with the 50th celebration kicking off? Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm definitely no expert having not been to Disneyland in 10 years but here's my take on it.

I figure the first few days around the beginning of the celebration will be busy with people who want to be there on the first day of the celebration. From there - I think a lot of people will wait to come in July for the offical anniversary date. Plus most people will be waiting to come in the summer so they don't have to pull their kids out of school. Lastly - Space Mountain isn't expected to re-open until fall and I believe a lot of people will wait for that as well.

This is just an opinion from someone who is planning on going in May and is hoping it's not too crowded!!!

I always vote for off-season, we've been the first week of March, presidents weekend in February, and this year we are goinging the first full week of October. Allthough I must say I'll bet going during the Peak season is wonderfull too. I like seeing all the people etc.

I go in April becaue of the weather and not so many people there go before or after spring break.
