We'll be traveling to Disney the Sat after Thanksgiving. Originally we planned on driving, but now considering flying. I'm thinking this will be a busy time w/the holiday. I haven't flown in 6 years, never w/our kids. Whens the best time to start looking for deals, and to book for this timeframe? Thanks!

Where are you flying from?

We bought our Nov 2006 tickets last December. It really depends, on what airport you are flying from, SW & Jetbue,Spirit haven't released there fares as of yet for Nov 2006.

Start looking, & pricing, & if you see a good fare, "GRAB IT ASAP"

Hope this helps

sorry, leaving from Chicago...either Ohare or Midway....we're thinking of American or Southwest...not really sure yet. Any recommendations from Chicago?

Start looking NOW and grab a good fare if you see it (of course that advice always applies ;), it's just what constitutes a good fare that changes). I know someone flying to Florida for Thanksgiving and they booked in January.....paid $175 r/t from NY. They fly down often, and lately it's been costing them $250+. I needed to book for the week after Thanksgiving, and I just grabbed $202 r/t tickets from Newark.

Not sure what Chi town is like, but I'd say start looking and grab anything $200 or less. Ideally I like to pay less, and often I'd wait for Southwest to open up the shcedule, but with fuel prices the way they are I didn't think taking chances was a great idea right now. I'd been looking on and off the last month or so and tix were in the $250 to $300 range for what I wanted, so $200 r/t was pretty good.

We need tickets for 11/30 - 12/10 out of either Philadelphia or Atlantic City. The prices are way out there right now unless I booked Delta. I am alittle scared of booking Delta because of the Pilot issues. Does anyone know what they do if the pilots go on strike? :confused3

I am very worried about booking a good fare for the Sat. after Thanksgiving. We can fly either out of Boston or Manchester. We usually fly SW or Jet blue and neither have released those dates. With gas continuing to climb in price it is really stressing me out. I could have booked Delta/Song months ago for $177. I was concerned with the impending strike, route changes etc. Now I am kicking myself!

Booked $177/person PHL to MCO 11/20 -11/28/06 on US Air. Did that back in Feb figuring that would be as good as it gets for Thanksgiving. Now I can't even find that for August PHL to MCO. Will probably go to Baltimore. Ughhhhh! I have been looking every morning and night for 3 weeks straight. Usually I hit by now.

I just saw that AirTran has released their Nov/Dec fares $217 round trip from Philadelphia.

We're going mid-November and still don't have our airfare booked. We could have booked out of EWR for about $210 pp but we didn't and now the prices have gone up. I'm not too diappointed though because EWR is a 2+ hour ride for us, we've never flown from there, and between the higher parking prices, gas and tolls we're just better off waiting for SW to open their dates for November. Also Bradley airport is only about 1/2 hour away, so it's very convenient. :sunny:
