Arkansas teacher here, by state law spring break for every school (public, charter, and college) in the state that receives public funds will be March 24-28 (Monday-Friday). It is calculated as the 38th week of the school year, where week 1 starts the first Sunday in July.
Voted using the local school system calendar. In the past I voted with my kid's school or college. My son teaches in the county north of us and they are out two weeks later than the county I live in.
Southern New Hampshire here. Our Spring Break has nothing to do with when Easter falls. We are usually the week after Mass and surrounding states. Next year our vacation is April 27 - May 4. Later than usual.
We live in Arkansas. Our Spring Break is the last full week in March (3/24-3/28).
It looks kinda bad that week according to Universal's crowd calendar. I've heard that is also when the Orlando area schools are on break, which can pack the parks. Does anyone know if that's accurate?
We're considering a return trip to the dark side (Universal) during SB next year (2014).
I'm hoping that by staying onsite and taking advantage of early entry it won't be too bad. Our only experience so far has been 2 trips in early June and one in late Sept/early Oct, which were all GREAT other than the heat in June. But I'm not sure how spring break will compare crowd and weather wise. Anyone have experience with it they can share?
